I have been working with Dougie now for just over a year and every shoot is an absolute blast, full of humour and creativity. Our last shoot was probably my favourite so far, the images Dougie produced were outstanding. I would recommend Flash Bang Wallop a zillion times over.

I had a great shoot with Doug yesterday , he made me feel very comfortable , helped me with tips on modelling due to being new, and was patient with me which I was very thankful for . He doesn't just turn up and snap away. He gets involved, he inputs ideas, he is a visionary for poses and he always manages to find the most perfect props and accessories to make the image pop. I had a fabulous shoot with Doug about 2 weeks ago - and what an amazing shoot that was! I had been wanting to shoot with him for a while now and after a long planning I finally had a chance to do so. We had an amazing pre-shoot comms in which we agreed on themes. When I arrived at Doug's studio I got excited about all his amazing outfits/props I would be able to use. Due to time restrictions we only managed to do 4 looks, but it was so worth it - I got to see all the pictures on the same day and they were amazing!

The shoot was overall very enjoyable thanks to Doug being fun, relaxed and professional photographer with lots of cool ideas. I would definitely recommend him to other models and would not hesitate to work with him again in future.

I had been following doug for a while when we decided to shoot together. Exactly what I expected!

The pictures are amazing (of course) and he was a delight to work with. He put up with me asking millions of questions as I was travelling a few hours to go and work with him and I didn't want to miss anything.

He had great ideas and knew exactly where he wanted to go with the shoot. He had his own props to shoot with too which was great!

Overall Dougie is really lovely and an amazing photographer with amazing creativity and I would happily travel all that way to work with him again. If you get an opportunity to work with him, grab it :)

Bad Dolly

I've just come back from a trip up to see Doug and we had a blast! Doug is an absolute legend and an outstanding photographer. I've wanted to work with him for years and he did not disappoint! We bounced ideas off each other and with the help of an amazing MUA we created some awesome images and I'm thrilled! Highly recommended of course and I can't wait to come back!

I worked with Dougie back in September along with the crazy cat lady model (crazy in a lovely way) Dougie was really welcoming, left me to create but looked after me well by going for my favourite hot chocolate. Would highly recommend! I hope to work with you again soon.

What can I say about Doug that his amazing portfolio doesn't already, his work should speak for itself :). Ive been a fan of Doug's work since I started modelling and I've had the privilege of coming back for seconds. Hes a lovely man and so easy to get along with, he knows what he wants in a shot as he has a very creative eye and gives clear direction to get the shot just right. He made sure I was comfortable offering me refreshments and gave me a lift from and too the train station (thanks) and is a proper gentleman.

If you have the chance to work with Doug I would snap his hand off, you certainly wont regret it!

I went to visit Dougie with good friend and MUA Joanna Strange, and we had a great time!

Dougie is amazing, a fantastic photographer, knows exactly what he's doing and has some great ideas. He's also a very lovely and friendly guy!

Communication before and after the shoot was brilliant too.

Great Photographer, Great Teacher, Great Personality, you only have to look at Dougie's portfolio to know how good he is, his attention to detail and lighting skills shine through every image.

I popped over to his studio workshop the other day that he runs in conjunction with MUA Sophie Battersby and found him to be a very knowledgable teacher with a laid back style that allows him to pass on his techniques and style in a very easy to understand way

So if you are a beginner in studio photography or just want to improve your portfolio then get yourself onto his next portfolio building workshop you will not be disappointed.

He will even spend time at the end of the day showing you how he achieves the distinctive look you see in his photographs using various photoshop techniques

Shot with Doug on the 11th August. He was a lovely, warm welcoming person and made me feel very comfortable working with him. I attended Doug's workshop "An Introduction to Studio Day." Having never met him before he immediately made my feel welcome and was an exceptional host throughout the day.

Sometimes you meet creative people who have an ego, who are pretentious, and who are selfishly ambitious and guarded of their knowledge, luckily Doug is the exact opposite of these traits, as he went the extra mile to help us understand his workflow, photographic and lighting techniques. It was a long (and warm and humid) day,and he worked damned hard throughout the day to acheive as much as possible of all our time together as a group,making sure we had everything, and also provided drinks and snacks as well!....

On a personal note, I probably learned more on this day, than watching 2 months worth of video tutorials online, not just the techinical side, but how to work with others in the right manner..working hard , being respectful, but also having a fun,relaxed good time along the way to produce great images

It was a privilege to spend the day with some great,skilled people,( fellow photographers , models, and MUAs), it was also good to see talented professionals "do their thing" and has been a great inspiration to me who is just starting out in photography to what can be accomplished with great teamwork.

I am really glad I attended, and hope to spend more time with Doug at some point down the line in any future events he puts on.

I've been a huge fan of Dougies work for some time, so having the opportunity to work with him was an amazing and exciting experience. There was lots of pre shoot communication, we discussed there's, outfits and exchanged mood boards so the planning was meticulous. On the day he was kind enough to pick me up from my hotel, and I even got coffee! He's amazing at directions and he's very encouraging and I loved the finished edits. I would highly recommend working with Dougie if you getvthevoppotunity.
