References for Russ FTL

As soon as I arrived, well waited to be kindly redirected as Id dismissed Google maps. Russ was welcoming and made a mega cuppa, we plugged in the tunes and began creating. Russ is a true professional and can honestly say a relaxed guy to work with , pre communication was excellent, we'd discussed concepts ideas and that came through on shoot. We had an incredibly productive day tweeking, playing and expanding on the ideas ending with the subsequent redecoration of the studio.

I cannot recommend Russ enough and could easily work alongside him again but as he may not be local for long I can say I am glad I shot with him before he moved away.

Working with Russ was an absolute pleasure and I am so happy with the images from our shoot together! When I saw Russ' profile I loved the creativity and quirky vibe in his work. I also saw some images which looked high fashion and editorial which were the type of images I wanted to add to my portfolio.

Communication with Russ was easy and we were always on the same page when sharing ideas on what we wanted to produce. We had a very productive day together, I enjoyed talking to Russ and found working with him very easy. Russ knew exactly what to when setting up shots and lighting to achieve the images we wanted. I felt comfortable around Russ and he gave good, constructive direction.

I would definitely work with Russ again and I certainly recommend him if you’re a model who loves experimenting, being creative and are looking to expand your portfolio with high quality images.

Had a great shoot on Wednesday with the wonderful Russ. Pre shoot communication was great. It was a nice relaxed afternoon, Russ was friendly and talkative yet kept a professional demeanour at all times. Russ is a creative individual with some unique ideas id highly recommend him to anyone considering a shoot with him. Hope to work with him again sometime in the future before he moves house. 😜 highly recommended x

Had a 3rd shoot with russ, and it was another great one :)

he had planned a mood board to help me know what clothing to bring and what looks he was going for.

He had great ideas for locations that i would never had thought would have been interesting but they looked really good.

as always he made me feel comfortable and great ideas and creativity and gave me the photos very quickly, and the photos are some of my favourites :) thank you again

Had a second shoot with russ and it was in a confetti field, messaging was great and drove me to and from the fields, provided great direction and helped with the choice of my many clothes. The photos have turned out amazing, they are some of my favourites, the whole day was great, friendly and a great photographer, definitely recommend :)

Had the wonderful opportunity of working with flight-the-light yesterday , at his awesome studio!

Pre communications were thorough and professional ,and other than the scary profile info, the photographer was actually pretty cool to work with ☺! Russ showed endless dedication to his work and really is an inspirational character. It wouldn't suprise me us he is one day famous , and I feel honoured to have grabbed a chance of working with him . Russ is great to work with and comes highly recommended from me , I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.

We did an urban shoot time, doing what we do best :-D The awesome thing about working with Russ is he’s super organised, knows what he want out of a shoot and prepared with mood boards.

I'm just glad Russ isn't sick of me yet! I do really enjoy working with Russ...he is a great photographer and person. I hope he never gets sick of me! Even when I do tag along on his Kiss gig shoot lol (Thanks for that) x

Shooting with Russ was great! He had strong ideas of what he wanted to achieve, which is fantastic for a makeup artist as there were no grey areas. Saying that, he also gave me enough creative freedom to put my own stamp on the shoot. His communications were brilliant before the shoot and have continued to be afterwards also having updated me on new edits added into Dropbox as and when he's put them in there. On the day he was the perfect gentleman, sat with us while we were doing the makeup and chatted about the industry. He also had lots of reference images to hand and had created a moodboard for the shoot. He also makes the perfect cuppa! If you get the chance to shoot with Russ you'll have a great time, get some awesome shots for your portfolio and learn a thing or two about photography and lighting! Thanks for having me.

Shot with Russ earlier in the month and had a blast. He was very approachable and hospitable. He had lots of ideas before the shoot and provided lots of reference material.

Professional throughout but very down to earth. Pre-coms were great.

He captured some fantastic beauty shots which,as an MUA, I'm delighted with, as well as some amazingly creative ones! Would highly recommend working with Russ.

Russ was great and a really fun guy to work with, brilliant pre-communication and had a super fun shoot. He had loads of different types of equipment including multiple backdrops and some really unique props, couldn't recommend enough

Whimsical Sorceress

Worked with this lovely man today on a shoot. He was very patient during the application process and respectful of the model. Directed well when shooting and produced some lovely RAW images. I cannot wait to see the edits. I am very happy so far and think the model is as well. I would highly recommend this gentleman to models, MUAs, designers etc. What a superstar.

If you want to work with a photographer that knows his stuff, is creative, has vision and captures great pictures with a personality thats wonderful then Russ is your man. It was amazing to work with him and shoot. I cant recommend him enough!! he's wonderful and he knows how to capture great works of art with his camera. Fantastic shoot, fantastic tea great atmosphere!!!

Had a shoot with Russ today at his home studio and the time just flew by! He was really chatty and relaxed, and made sure the lighting was every bit perfect before he continued to shoot each set. After he was happy with the lighting he shot away and showed me the images as we went along so we both knew where we were at. All in all a good shoot, highly recommended if you want a photographer who knows his sh*t! Haha thanks again x

Had an amazing shoot today with Russ. From the start i felt at ease he came and met me from the train station and kindly helped me with my luggage!

When we got to his studio we sat down with a cuppa tea and discussed our plans for the shoot.

Russ is very professional and creative who was a pleasure to work with. His ideas were effortlessly brilliant and it was clear from our first couple of shots that we were going to get loads of great images.

Throughout the shoot he was considerate as well as professional and I would 100% recommend him as a photographer!

I hope to be working with him again in the near future.

Russ is a very easy photographer to work with and I felt completely comfortable and at ease in his presence. We experimented a lot with different lights and lenses and we both came up some quirky ideas. I'm very happy with the photos and would recommend him to any model.
