Like most people, I struggle to tell the difference between different kinds of animals, unless it is written on the side of the beast, or on a sign around it's neck. When I arranged to shoot with Jess, I was expecting one of those eagle things that you see at zoos in the big pools which flop out onto the side and eat fish from somebody with a headset mic. I was told that these were not in fact eagles, but sealions.

Some models would have blocked me at this point, but thankfully I had a plan B and after careful explaining about the difference between birds and mammals and fish and then a long sigh, slow out-breath and a long explanation about how dolphins aren't fish, but they do live in the sea. Mindblowing fact!

Once I knew what a bird looked like, I said I would send through a moodpboard. What I actually sent through were screenshots of the Countryfile calendar and that seemed good enough.

I have experienced models arriving at the studio by taxi, train and even by car. One model even walked to the studio once, which I thought was quite dangerous as there was a busy road less than a mile away. I don't know how Jess got there, as she arrived before I did, but I am guessing rollerblades or maybe parachute.

The shoot was great. make-up great, shoot great, falcons great, clothing great blah blah blah all the usual reference stuff. Jess is great. Book her or regret it.

Jess replied to my casting and moodboard with enthusiasm and even suggested bringing her falcons along to add to the experience of the shoot as well as adding to the entire storyline I was hoping to create!

Friendly, professional, and easy to get on with - she took direction really well and incredibly knowledgable when it came to positioning the falcons so that when my wording wasn’t the best - I’m just used to directing models - she knew exactly what I meant!

I contacted Jess through PP and she replied quickly as she liked my work.

We discussed a few ideas for shoot themes and opted for a Rat rod at a friends custom garage.

Jess turned up on time, very bubbly personality and lots of enthusiasm. We got on very well and the banter flowed back and forth. Jess took direction very well and has a great deal of potential.

I would highly recommend this young lady and her unique skill sets. We will be shooting again in the very near future.

Jess contacted me via Purpleport and asked to shoot with me as she liked the look of my work.

Comms where very good with lots of info back and forth with messages all kept on board PP. We discussed time and styles and other details of the shoot all in a very professional manner.

Jess was bang on time to the shoot even though traffic was terrible. We went for a drink and a chat and got on very well. She is a very likeable person with good communication skills and is very easy to talk to.

We discussed the shoot in depth so that she understood exactly what to expect from the day. We went off to a local nature reserve which fitted in perfect for the look of the day. We shot some pics and then went back for a coffee and looked over the shoot. During the shoot Jess was great at taking direction which she asked for as this was her first "real" shoot from PP.

Jess loved the unedited images and was very happy with her overall experience.

We discussed about doing a further shoot at a later date which would include her many skills and expertise in Falconry and other things.

Overall I would highly recommend Jess as a model to those who are patient with beginners and want someone with a lot of potential and who has wealth of talents too.

I really enjoyed my shoot with Jess and look forward to our future shoots too.
