A lot of my portrait photography comes from travel - in this case a guard who travelled with us on a bus in the Simeon Mountains in Ethiopia. It was rather unnerving because his AK47 was pointed at my back as he sat behind us in a rather shaky bus on a very uneven road - he said we shouldn't worry - he didn't have any bullets.
