I recently reached out to Kamila, aka Darkpurity, to ask her to be a part of my personal project for 2024, The Very Modern Pin-up.

Having a digital artist onboard to help create the final images for the project is a real asset. I spotted Kamila’s work and thought here is someone who can add some value, with an original vision and a skillset to bring that extra dimension to my pin-ups.

I gave Kamila an image to start the process and asked her to pitch some ideas back to me to help bring the shot to life. Very quickly Kamila came back to me with a very interesting concept and I immediately gave her the go ahead to get productive. Working from a RAW file, Kamila was soon sending me an image to check. I suggested revisions; checked the image; then Kamila sent me the finished TIFF.

Kamila is stress-free to work with, very accommodating to revisions, but most importantly, has an original point-of-view. As budget allows, I will be asking Kamila to work on more images and, together, producing some great images for the project.

The first set of images I sent to Kamila produced an fpi within the week! If that doesn't say it all about the utterly fantastic quality of her work then I simply defy further words!

I sent her another set from my shoot with Avant Garde at the Fareham Studio circus and her turnabout for the first was just a couple of days - and again the image of Jade as the ringmaster in the midnight circus is just breathtaking!

I have worked with Dark Purity now one many occasions. We swap references and share image banks.She is a lovely kind human who has helped me on many occasions. She has always been 100% committed to do what she says she is going to do. I have especially been lucky to be gifted some of her wonderful backgrounds to use in my own projects.The work she provides is exemplary and an inspiration. It saddens me to see that her all positive references have been tarnished by just one negative. I know she works hard and sometimes give more of herself than she should, and like myself she is not happy until the client is and offers free amendments. I hope others will not be put off and read all the wonderful things that are said in these positive references. Keep being being amazing Kamila, you have such a gift!

Holy moly!!!

I just picked up my jaw from the floor! Dark Purity's work totally amazes me and to think she spent some time (clearly not a little time either!) on some of my images is just staggering! I'm stoked with the results and I'm really sure my models will be too :-D

My only issue now is deciding what image to send her next!

Kamila has retouched 3 or 4 images of mine over the past 6 months and shame on me for leaving it so long to add a reference for her.

She is truly an amazing digital artist with the foresight to interpret a brief and create some outstanding art.

From a mermaid at sea to a Hindi godess to a woman in a martini glass.

Can't recommend Kamila enough. I was lucky enough to meet her in person and pose for one of the images last summer.

Her personality is as beautiful as the images she creates.

If you want a masterpiece, Kamila is your lady!

Kamila is superb at what she does. It’s always exciting to see what a retoucher can do with one of our image. We aren’t retouchers, we are photographers. Kamila’s style was something that we wanted to try and she didn’t let us down. She brought a texture to our images that we haven’t used before. On top of her talent she is a great communicator with rapid turnaround. Highly recommended to other photographers.

Wow, Kamila is a true artist - she has amazing skill - she worked up a logo for me, and it took only a few days from initial contact to receive it. Initially there was an issue with the image, with the size and file type, but I insisted it is the one I wanted so she researched conversion and was able to use that specific one in the end. I was very happy because of this. Fast professional service, and quite unique. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Wow what a stunning interpretation of an image I wanted done, I liked it so much I hired her for logo work, I drew roughly wanted and she delivered and produced a striking logo, in different backgrounds & different sizes too, since this is a limited skill of mine on the PC, definitely highly recommended, fast turnaround of files, very chuffed.
