Had my first shoot with Alan yesterday and what a great shoot it was!.

His pre comms are excellent, he met me at the station and we hit it off straight away, he's super easy to talk too and get along with. He looked after me very well during the whole shoot and knows what he wants in a shot.

Alan is a true gent and one of the most interesting persons I've ever met, he's also one of the nicest. I'm so glad I've met him. By the end of the shoot it felt like I had made a genuine friend.

Alan and I kept in touch prior to the shoot to ensure we had all the ideas prepared. He arrived on time and set about preparing his gear. We chatted throughout the shoot and our 4 hour shoot went extremely well. Alan is a very intelligent man and an interesting one as well. I would highly recommend him to any other model. Lovely hearing about his travels and the models he has shot before. A busy man indeed, but a very good photographer.

I had my third shoot with Alan a few days ago, we always stay in touch so it was good to see and work him again.

Alan is a wonderful person and a total gentleman, I really enjoy his company, he’s very interesting and fun to work with, the shoot time just flew by.

Alan has plenty of ideas but was happy to give me the freedom of posing away and in result we got some fab images that I am so pleased with.

Had my first shoot with Alan yesterday during his visit up to the Midlands. His pre coms were excellent and the shoot was very well planned, even with the unpredictable weather. Alan was a pleasure to work with, very friendly and chatty, with a lot of interesting things to discuss. He gave good direction whilst also allowing me a lot of freedom with posing and outfit. He was very courteous and considerate, walking me to and from the station and making sure that I was able to get home despite the bad weather.

Alan comes highly recommend from me :)

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Alan last Sunday while he is down on a photographic trip my way.

What can I say about this marvelous gentleman and photographer.

We had already talked quite a bit here on PP beforehand so I knew what he is a fascinating persona. Having seen his work both on here as well as his non model photography which he exhibits I already knew that he is a very gifted photographer as well.

He kindly picked me up from the station chatting along the way and soon after we started shooting. The conversation just kept flowing as we exchanged thoughts from everything from economic classes, travel, and art.

In between we shot various sets where he made fantastic use of the hotel room he had booked.

Before I managed to get back home I already saw some wonderful images he had uploaded and could not be happier with the results.

I certainly hope to get to work with Alan again in the future and would most highly recommend him to all models.

Alan and I had our first shoot yesterday after months of trying to arrange a shoot, due to distance.

I have always enjoyed seeing Alan’s images. I knew I would be meeting a very interesting man, as he is so well travelled. I was not wrong, this gentleman is incredibly intelligent. He also has a fantastic eye for creating beautiful images.

The precommunication between us both was detailed. We both had a good idea of what we wanted to achieve. The shoot time seemed to fly by as we chatted throughout. I learnt an incredible amount from Alan.

I would most definitely recommend this gentleman. I found him to be animated, enthusiastic, kind and fascinating company.

I hope you are pleased with the images we created, I think you did a fantastic job. :-)

I had my second and brilliant shoot with Alan.

Pre-shoot communication was great, he arrived on time with perfect gears for the shoot.

He is very professional, fun to work with, enthusiastic, considerate, warm hearted, intelligent...will be a long list and I feel very comfortable working with him and thoroughly enjoyed working with him and talking with him.

Just like the first shoot, I learned a lot from him during the shoot which was a bonus!

I am really looking forward to seeing the result from the shoot and working with him in the near future.

Alan visited me in my apartment on his recent Southern tour and we shot our first shoot together after a protracted online chat about how and when.

All was worthwhile though as we had a great shoot and lots of chat. Alan is a learned gentleman and chats a lot, which I love.

I know that we will certainly be shooting again next year as we have discussed this already.

Alan is off for a well deserved holiday soon and I wish him well on his trip.

Arizona Sky

I had a lovely shoot with Alan this afternoon in a London hotel. Unfortunately, my train was delayed by an hour but he still kindly met me at the station and also kindly walked me back there as well after the shoot.

I was pleasantly surprised to find Alan to be softly spoken (which is always a plus) and he’s such great company and a pleasure to work with. He’s also very good at making interesting conversation - telling me stories about some of his travels.

I sincerely hope the next time Alan is in London, we can arrange another shoot, as he’s just a lovely person to be around.

Alan is a really lovely man! We had a great hotel lingerie shoot, he was very chatty (in a good way!) throughout. He’s quite a wealth of wisdom! Even though the weather was awful, he still picked me up from the station, and we didn’t have much time but Alan made sure not to make things rushed.

Thoroughly enjoyed working with him. Hope to again soon!

Had my first shoot with the Wonderful Alan..A gentleman who is amazing to work with..I fell im love with his purpleport images ,was longing to work with him and finally got a chance to when he came to London.A gem of a person with so much of kindness,professionalism ,attitude and ofcourse the talent in photography..He gave me the complete freedom to choose my styles and so polite.He is such cool and kept clicking according to my choices and if my pose /image comes out well he kept saying 'Thank You' ..very motivational indeed.Well he is a retired profeessor and so it's obvious but its rare to find this great combinations in oneself.He shot high resolution pictures and im so amazed and enjoying viewing them.I highly recommend Alan to all models.. and i really look forward to working with him again!

I had a lovely shoot with alan, pre comms where great he sent me a moodboard so i knew exactly what i was doing. He showed up fully prepared, on time for the shoot and was very professional but also great conversation. we spent alot of time during the shoot chatting and the time flew by so i would happily recommend the Dr to anyone :).

I had such a wonderful shoot with Alan at Yorkshire Studios, he is very friendly, kind, respectful and I felt totally at ease shooting with him.

He came prepared with a mood board of ideas to give us some inspiration and that gave us a great kickstart. We shot a wide variety of different sets/styles and the images we created are really beautiful.

I thoroughly enjoyed our shoot together and can whole-heartedly recommend Alan to other photographers. I would 100% work with him again and hope to do so in the future.

Alan got in touch last week and we booked in a last minute shoot at my home for Monday just gone. It was a super shoot from start to finish :)

His communications were brilliant, he was very clear in what he wanted to shoot and how he wanted my makeup/hair. He then arrived with a book of his previous work for me to look through and get an idea of his preferences :)

We worked our way though a few different sets and from what I saw on the back of the camera we got some really nice images together. Alan was a complete gentleman from start to finish, he really cares about making sure his model is comfortable and enjoying the shoot. He's extremely easy to talk to and we had some great conversations, it was genuinely a pleasure being in his company :)

Would happily recommend and hope to work with him again in the future :D
