I attended the creative gels lighting workshop today with Darryl, and was not disappointed. He went through several complex setups, all leading to very different looks, and took great care to explain each and to show us images that matched the setup. He managed to get a brilliant model for the workshop too, and of course Big Shot Studio is always worth a visit. Darryl is also a great photographer himself and it was a real pleasure to have him explain his techniques. Highly recommended!

Attended Darryl's gel lighting workshop as an assistant and it was a real eye opener. Darryl certainly in my opinion deserves a lot more recognition for being the great photographer that he is, and this was really self evident seeing him on his workshop. His workshop was informative, educational and the lighting set ups were brilliant giving the attendees a wide scope for learning new lighting skills and getting really creative with them. The attendees on the workshop had a great time and went away with some amazing images. Darryl's workshops are certainly great value for money and well worth attending. Highly recommended by me. Great work Darryl!

Absolute pleasure working with Darryl.

Great pre-shoot comms, he ran through several ideas with me so I knew what to pack and thus, be organised. Treats models really respectfully, was conscious of me being warm enough and taking breakas needed. Darryl is simply a lovely person to work with, keen for models to contribute ideas for a truly collaborative shoot, whilst being fun and friendly. lots of chatting and banter, I even received edits before I made it home! Love the images- thanks hugely! More than happy to recommend!

I had my first shoot with Darryl recently, at his excellent studio Big Shot! Darryl's comms were perfect, everything was sorted in short order and with no issues. On the day Darryl was welcoming and an excellent host and a total gent start to finish. He is so creative with lighting and knows his stuff, and it shows in the images! Plus hes such good fun to work with, really cant recommend him highly enough and I hope we can shoot again soon:) thanks Darryl you're a star never think otherwise!

We did so many such different things that it's hard to believe all of that fit in one day!

We did some fashion, some experimental, some sensual, some classical nude stuff..

Today I had the absolute fortune and pleasure to work with Darryl. He is a marvel!

Pre-comms were excellent; we set up a date quickly and decided very loosely on what we wanted to shoot, leaving some up to chance on the day based on how we felt. Boy did he not disappoint!

We managed to get through a variety of natural light and studio light based shots, which excellently demonstrates what a wonderful eye he has and what versatility he possesses. He was extremely easy going, relaxed and yet extremely professional and respectful. He was very willing to give direction whilst allowing me freedom of movement as well.

He had the first batch of images edited this evening, having only shot earlier today! He is efficient and I'm very thankful for these, especially so close to Christmas.

I certainly hope this is not the last shoot with Darryl. Thank you!

Worked with Darryl for the first time today. We shot a new model and did a variety of looks, it was super fun and went smoothly! He planned an awesome mood board and knew exactly what looks and lighting we were going for. Precommunication was excellent, we got it planned quickly and it was set in motion immediately upon arrival! He's great to work with, really laid back and brings awesome snacks :) Would definitely work with again!

Darryl is amazing! Firstly, what an epic t shirt I had to hug him.

Sheff is highly organised, technically, brilliant, understands lightning, composition and positioning really well. They had snacks!

Two body types, two skin tones, first duo shoot, you would not have known.

Friendly and easy to talk to plus he likes marvel which means you is already winning in life and photography!

Hopefully we shoot again it was a pleasure and honour to shoot.

Fab shoot with Darryl yesterday. He was really lovely and chatty and made sure we had plenty of breaks and something to eat/drink throughout the shoot.

Photography-wise he's brilliant. He has so many creative ideas which were lots of fun to try. His knowledge on lighting was exceptional and i was forever amazed at some of the images I was seeing back of camera.

Brilliant shoot. Would 100% recommend to new and professional models, and would happily work with him again.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Darryl at Big shot studio. He is friendly, professional, funny, skilled at his craft, organised and creative.

We shot fashion-lingerie levels, gels and we also created some lovely images in a fantasy dress.

Big Shot Studio

Darryl attended the studio yesterday and as has been said before, he is an exceptional photographer with great creative talent and a very impressive portfolio. On top of that Darryl is a genuinely lovely guy.

He came along with the lovely Leigh-Anne and they obviously produced some great work, they have already uploaded some fantastic images from their session yesterday.

Darryl is completely trustworthy and I am always happy to leave him in the studio on his own, he is totally respectful of the place and the equipment, and as always he leaves the studio tidy when he is done. Super highly recommended!

Darryl and I had great rapport immediately and he was extremely organised, relaxed and ready to get cracking.
