Had my first shoot with John over the weekend and it was a joy!

I applied to one of his casting call long time ago, happy he decided to work with me.

Pre communication was excellent, shared with me a moodboard which is always useful. On the day he kindly collect me and brought me back to the station.

His home studio is lovely, comfortable and has everything you need to create wonderful images.

John portfolio speaks itself, he is very talented and has good eye for creating the perfect image. In the few hours we had together we went through lots of different sets. He knew exactly what he wanted to achieve. I was posing freely and he was giving great directions when needed.

Happy from what I saw from the back of the camera and can’t wait to see the final results!

He was professional all the way through. Not only he is talented, creative and skilled photographer, he is also a wonderful person. Friendly, down to earth, respectful and lots of fun to work with! I enjoyed very much working with him and I hope we’ll shoot together again in the near future!

I would definitely recommend to any models and creatives to work with him!

I shot with John during one of my Birmingham tours.

John picked me up in Birmingham and we travelled to his home studio.

He is kind, respectful, clever, professional, outgoing and a very skilled photographer.

We shot a good number of sets in the time we had and John made sure we had breaks when needed and time to talk about the sets.

We worked well together and we also got on very well as people too!

I thoroughly enjoyed shooting with John.

I hope we get the chance to work together again.

I don't think I have EVER laughed so much during a 2 hour shoot. John is an absolute HOOT as well as being an incredibly accomplished photographer.

John booked on to my studio day at a the derelict school in Walsall that I have access to. His pre-comms were simple and to the point, he expressed that kind of thing he wanted to shoot, so I knew exactly what I needed and what was expected.

John arrived early, and was raring to go! He is truly talented with lighting and composition, and has some absolutely awesome ideas. His direction is spot on, and he is clearly a TOTAL perfectionist - requesting a repeate a few poses so he can get the image just right.

A hilarious and very nice gentleman, who is clearly a true creative soul! I can't recommend him enough, and can't believe this is the first time we have shot together! I can't wait for shoot two!

What can I say about John.... he’s flipping lovely! Would I work with him again?... just you try and stop me!

Now, I must write a silly amount of references given this is my actual full time job and if you like, writing references is a full time job in itself haha! BUT!!! It’s a great pleasure to write one for this gentleman, YES gentleman, because John is nothing less. He’s respectful of his models and aware of levels and boundaries, so much so he checks and makes sure you’re happy and comfortable with the shoot from start to finish. Nothing was a task with John and our time flew by so so fast! We shot a huge range of looks all varying from portrait to fashion to lingerie to nude... and every single one was an absolute pleasure to work on. John let me loose with my poses which I love because I can’t stand micro management, it’s unnecessary and John 100% gets that and works to the models style. His lighting is flawless and my skin looked amazing in the shots, backnif the camera was amazing to see and John was plenty generous enough to show me images between each of the sets. A true gentleman and super easy to get on with as he’s a fellow chatty Kathy like me so I was suitably a happy model! Fabulous photographer who I absolutely recommend highly and can’t wait to see/shoot with again.

Jump on the chance if you haven’t already because you’ll regret missing out if you don’t.

John was an absolute dream to work with!

I worked with for the first time on a group evening shoot at Aura studio.

He is such a character and had me cracking up laughing! I have never worked with someone like John before, he’s so funny and so full of life.

He is super friendly, chatty and a really good photographer. He was trying out a really cool way of shooting and was nailing it straight away.

I’m thrilled with the results of the images, post production is also fantastic.

I’d work with him again in a heartbeat and would of course highly recommend :)

I had a great shoot with John for two hours last week during my stay at Map Studio!

John is hilarious! In-between shots I was definitely laughing my head off! Haha.

We worked our way through lots of ideas in the time- John came prepared with a backdrop and a plan- and I love the results!! Great job John and thank you for booking on! Hope to do it again one day :D

Today I met Darren for the first time at a studio he booked in Wolverhampton. We had already chatted on the phone prior to our shoot and knew then we would get on. From the min I arrived until leaving 4 hrs later I felt completely relaxed and at total ease with Darren,not only is he a fabulous photographer but a lovely guy as well, He's such a laugh ..had a fab time shooting with Darren and would shoot with him again any time 😊 defo highly recommended...cheers Luvy xv

I had the pleasure of meeting John at a studio day at Far Forest Studio with Retro Rob. We all hit it off straight away and had a very productive and enjoyable shoot. John came with some amazing ideas including an art nude duo pose I’d never seen before. It was an incredible idea and we pulled it off brilliantly - I think we made a great team and I’d love to work with John again as he’s fun, a lovely guy and takes awesome images! In short, I highly recommend John! :)

Wow!! what a truly amazing shoot my brother.

I have just got back from Far Side Studios after a duo shoot with the incredible Melany and the killer talents of this wicked Photographer Darkside.

Oh my word you think you have tried almost every pose and then Darkside reaches into the magic that is his mind and pulls out a pose that you think is not humanly possible but you just got to try!

Well I am so pleased we did big love to you for making this happen and to Melany for being so flexible and fit.

Far Forest Studio

We were pleased to welcome John to our studio yesterday for his first visit and we hope it will be the first of many.

Arrived on time and well prepared, full of ideas and enthusiasm it's easy to see why he is able to create the works he does.

Great personality away from the camera as well which makes for a relaxed and enjoyable time for everyone. A perfect guest and visitor.

Some outstanding back of camera shots from the session which I am sure will receive the credit they deserve.

Highly recommended to any studio or model.

Love this guy!!!! John is one of the funniest guys i've had the pleasure of working with, literally had me in creases for the full day!

I had previously worked with John on an event hosted by Chris Conway at Map studios so when we decided to come back to host more i was made up John was joining us for a full day. I knew it meant it was going to be a good day. He brings heap of personality along with him and is exactly the kind of guy you want to work with. Without a shadow of doubt he comes highly recommended by me and i hope to have the pleasure of working with him again in the future although next time John....i recommend you get a smaller Mcdonalds on the lunch break and drink less coffee ha ;-)

This dude rocks, ive worked alongside John plenty of times and he has never failed to impress with his work or at bringing the jokes. Always willing to lend a hand at events on vape duty or lighting tech and has never anything less than a gent with the models.

I truly loved my shoot with John, such a great photographer that can capture a stunning image whilst having a good laugh at the same time!

I travelled down from Scotland and was absolutely blown away by the sheer talent of the photographers that I was working with. The images just have such a soft glow about them and yet show such power, being able to take a shot like that is a definite skill in itself! Beautiful images so far and hope we get to work together again soon!

I would highly recommend John to any model as he makes you feel comfortable and at ease and gives great direction as well as allowing you to present your own ideas.
