In human terms, I am over 100 years old now. I have a very weak heart and must not get excited. The Man-Vet has said I would not survive a third episode with my dodgy heart valve. I have a bit of arthritis, early stage cataracts and I'm hard of hearing but I love laying in the back of the car on a sunny day, just watching the humans go by. I still eat healthily and apart from taking everything slow and easy, life is good. The Man-Vet has given me lots of tablets to take every day which make me sleepy but if the squirrels or rabbits are around, I do give in to temptation and chase them out of my garden. My humans worry about me but the Man-Vet has told them that with my heart the way it is, I will probably just go to sleep one day and not wake up again. I have had a very fine, happy and long life with my humans. On reflection, I have trained them very well.
