Far Forest Studio

We were pleased to welcome Darryl here for his first visit today when he booked a slot with Lilly and Layla on their duo day.

He arrived ahead of time and he went one further as a gentleman by collecting Layla on his way.

He had a plan in mind of what he wanted to achieve and he achieved it in a completely professional way.

Between sets he was great company and during the shoots the laughter from the end of the studio showed they were all having fun.

In summery we would highly recommend him to any studio or model.

He has already booked to return and we look forward to seeing him here again.

Me and Darryl have worked together many times now so I knew that the shoot was going to be productively fun as usual.

He bring loads of ideas to the shoot and does direct you when he has an idea for a pose.

He is highly recommended by me and I hope it's not long until we work together again, hopefully in the summer.

Total epicness! My second shoot with Darryl - just another couple of hours at Curiosity studios but boy did we hammer some amazing shots out in that time!

It was one of those shoots where we kind of had a rough idea of where we were going to go set-wise, but then one idea starts working so darn well that you get completely distracted and forget the initial plan! :D The images we got are totally different to the styles we shot last time and literally full of charisma, just little differences but when each one is pretty much a keeper you just look at each other like "now what" :D I am so over the moon to have had the chance to shoot with Darryl again as our locations are quite some distance apart but he's a really awesome guy to shoot with and even though I'll do dozens of shoots on a single tour the shots are unique and memorable because of the fabulous teamwork we hit off.

Darryl was actually my first shoot of the trip in Treorchy, South Wales - the studio is an excellent base for us to get varied shots as we had been talking about getting some location work in too but at least we could fall back on creative options at Curiosity where Darryl has fabulous knowledge of the lighting so well and can create a lovely shot in no time at all. He is a very observant and creative photographer when it comes to changing a shot just by altering the angle of the lights - I could be doing similar poses but his input and photographic eye transforms the shot altogether. :) I think he has to adapt the new nickname "master of the wind" now as well as with wind/hair blowing shots the chances are that you might get one or two real corkers just because the hair does it's own thing. Nope, one after another after another... I'm there doing my back-of-the-camera Social Media shots after sets and my brain is turning to much because I have no idea which ones to snap! :D

Here's a chap who is mega easy to get along with; totally professional in his approach and so lovely a gentleman. We always have a laugh, we always natter loads, we always strike a stupendous working relationship and bounce ideas off each other and it's always been super productive working together. :) Darryl is really laid back and good hearted - I could recommend him until the cows go home quite literally, he strives to make a model feel at ease from start to finish. I spammed his page with compliments and thumbs-ups to other models before, so here is dissertation number 2! Anyone booked in/due to be shooting with Darryl will have a brilliant one, take it from moi! :)

Had a great shoot with Daryl on my tour last week, leading up to the shoot was all easily planned and Darryl

Kept in regular communication.

We had a great 4 hour shoot which just flew by and Darryl was respectful and very chatty.

He experimented with the lighting and we tried lots of different lighting set ups and utilised the studio with a couple of different spaces we had.

Would highly recommend Darryl to other models and we have already discussed another shoot which I am looking forward to in the spring.

Wow! Had my first shoot with Daryl today and it went awesome. He is such a kind natured soul with a sharp talent for photography. I felt completely at ease as soon as we met and had to drive quite a way to get to the studio we would be working at but we were chatting non stop so he is a brilliant conversationalist also. I am so pleased with the shots I have seen so far and because I had such a lovely time we will be organising a second shoot soon. It was great to see Darryl again after so long! We have shot numerous times and always have productive sessions! This one was especially good as Darryls photography has really improved since we met way back, as has my modelling! We worked two hours at Curiosity Studio in South Wales and then he kindly drove me back to Newport afterwards! Always a pleasure working with Darryl, he is always respectful and professional and happy! I cant wait to share the images with you all. Very highly recommended.

As always it was an absolute pleasure to have Daryl attend one of our studio days, the fun and banter you get when working with him will bring the sunshine to anyones grey day :)

Darryl was my first photographer on the second day of my studio weekend at Curiosity Studios during my Wales tour. :) He was in touch with me prior to the day to give a heads up about goodies to bring which is sooo helpful when you have shoot arrangements coming out of your ears for a ten-day tour... whose to say that you can't have a real productive blast on a studio day slot: Darryl is a regular at Curiosity and I thought the banter and the whole session atmosphere was barrels of fun. We got many gorgeous sets done and upon each review of the back of the camera my eyes were lighting up with joy to see how epic the images were looking; I think it's safe to say that Darryl caught my every possible expression in my facial vocabulary as he allowed me to just do my thing but gave great direction if he spotted something that was the making of a super image. Between us we were quite a creative pair - I for one found Darryl so easy to get along with and we had an awe-inspiring time making some really pretty pictures. We have already re-booked a full day working together next year and I am greatly looking forward to seeing what ideas we can throw around the studio this time around!

My main things that make a shoot one that I'd look forward to doing again are: a fab creative team rapport, and having a laugh while we shoot because it makes every ounce of difference to the whole experience. Darryl nailed both of these, he's a terrific photographer whose talent lies not only in stunning portraits but he's pretty darn awesome at creatively framing wacky/off-the wall poses too. :D It's the difference between me looking like an absolute head-case in an image and the image turning out rather WOW. He sure knows what to look for when a model does their thing. :P The time really did fly by with a stress-free flow that was relaxed but productive in all the right ways.

Etiquette-wise, he is a true gentleman. Very respectful of a models comfort during a shoot and will make effort to look out for/respect their levels which is super reassuring if you are doing stretchy-risqué poses to get a cracker of a shot but may be showing a little too much at times. He's a kind softie at heart and I have no doubts that other models will have an epic time working with Darryl too. Top professionalism, really helpful communications and a brill sense of humour to help add a giggle or two to the day. :D Thanks ever so much Darryl! See you in February!

I had a lovely afternoon with Darryl at Maunsel House yesterday. Darryl had some great ideas of his own by was also happy to take on my suggests of lighting, poses etc. He also gave me plenty of time to relax over lunch and adjust hair/make-up which is always appreciated.
