I made this photo at a workshop on the Big Sur coast of California, using a 120 roll of Ilford PanF50 film. The first nine photos on the roll were made with my camera on a tripod, photographing this model sitting motionless. For the last photo, however, I wanted to try something different, so I decided to do a handheld photo of her walking toward me in the surf. The blurred hands and face are the result of the long shutter speed required by using a slow film - but I like it!
