I have admired Darren's work since I joined Purple Port, so I recently got the opportunity to work with him. I was really glad I did, working with Darren was great, very professional, creative and a pleasure to work with. We had discussed and shared ideas before the shoot with Lavinia, and he was a true gentleman working with Lavinia. The shoot was great fun, a laugh, and time flew by very quickly. We managed to cover many different pose ideas and styles in the 4 hour shoot. I loved the results we achieved and a totally different style to my normal work. I totally look forward to working with Darren again when he is next in the area. Many thanks, Simon :-)

I got the chance to work with Darren today on a two hour location shoot today, and it was well worth the time!

He's excellent to work with, he turned up early, ready to shoot. He is terrific at posing, and really understands how the light is falling on him. He didn't even mind standing out in the torrential rain we got for a while to make sure we got the shots!!

I would highly recommend working with Darren, and hope to again in the future.

Shot with Darren on location. Communication was brilliant, we met on time. Darren was well prepare with everything that could possibly be needed.

What a lovely guy, laid back and imperturbable. So easy going and so easy to work with. He has the most fantastic look, can be rough and rugged or suave and sophisticated with equal ease.

I know we have some great images and will work together again.

I unreservedly recommend shooting with him.

What a pleasure to work with such a consummate professional who turned up early, ready-to-go, and with all of the outfits I'd suggested (clean, pressed, lint-free and tidy!!).

Darren's posing was awesome, his features distinctive, and his willingness to give 100% at all times made our shoot a real joy. He evokes Mr Mean and Mr Vicious and Mr Nasty all rolled into one - but in the nicest possible way - and all of our sets produced great shots that other models just could not have pulled off.

A half day very well spent indeed. Perfect (well, except for the shotgun tuition afterwards ... room for improvement there, but still pretty good for a first effort and you did hit the sandbag!!) and pleasant company. Thank you, Darren.

Darren came to a group shoot we organized. He was a natural for portraits shots with character - easily adding a hint of menace where required. Easy to work with, I'd recommend him to anyone.

Every shoot I have had with Darren has been such an awesome time, he has become a great friend and I will always recommend anyone to work with him. He gives great advice and suggestions too , is one of the best prepared and organised models Ive had the pleasure to work with , and is absolutely a top guy to shoot with. Artemis Fauna

Darren is super. Another fabulous shoot with him during my South Wales tour last week- this time beach fun which involved some crazy art nude shapes, lots of sand, a wonky building, a banana and a picnic!

I feel we work really well together, we can have a real laugh but also work as a team to get 'that' shot quickly and bounce off each other creatively. :)

I love the results from the last shoot and can't wait for our Halloween shoot in October!! :)

Darren and I had been planning a shoot together for quite sometime. Finally yesterday we shot with the extremely talented lady karen Kk on an underwater shoot!!! Darren is an awesome model. He can model a vast array of styles, portraying such convincing emotions and characters. It was brilliant to watch him at work on the solo shoots, he's a very versatile model. He has a silly sense of humour which made the shoot a laugh. Darren was great to work with on the duo shoots. Once we'd mastered sinking there was no stopping us. Darren has fabulously, creative ideas and is very dedicated to achieving the picture. He even let my stylize him as a merman!! Was a pleasure to meet you! Top bloke. 100% recommended.

I haven't seen Darren since January, but yesterday we had an amazing underwater shoot, together with Emmarald. We had been trying to fix a joint shoot for a while and yesterday's pool opportunity fell into place. These two work extremely well together. Being all on the same wavelength enabled us to create several different ideas. Darren never fails to deliver. He does it with ease, almost without trying. He is that great an actor, with endless expressions, that whatever you throw at him .. he just achieves ! Darren has the face and physique a male model needs to fit into any scenario. He's also a bloody nice guy. A breeze to work with and I've said it before and I'll say it again.... Darren is outstanding :)

Had second shoot with the dynamic duo of Darren and Marmalade.......these two work so well together its an experience in itself,Darren is such an easy bloke to get on with,up for anything and has an impressive range of charachters to work with, not one neg comment on a dingy and wet morgue on a sunday morning !

Have so many photos to select from the morgue is only half of the nightmare....totaly rec Darren with no reservations whatsoever and if your thinking of booking a double act team him up with Marmalade and your portfolio will rise many levels !

I worked with Darren for the first time last week, when we shot bodypainted duo work all day with Sean Munro. He is a bundle of laughs (I second Sean on commending his C3PO impression!), and incredibly professional to work with. And strong, obviously - we worked on some very tricky strength/balance poses together but I never once felt worried even when he was holding me upside down by the ankles; he is very careful and takes care of his model partners and always put me down gently :) I recommend him with no hesitation whatsoever, to models and photographers alike. Hope to meet you again soon!

Marmalade

The second weekend I've had the pleasure of Darren's company now, only this time he was spared my camera, and I dragged him an abandoned school in the middle of the night to shoot very last minute art nude, and then round a now very trashed and flooded mortuary..He never batted an eye lid!

Sorry for wearing you out... It was soon worth it! :)

Sean Munro Photography

Had my first shoot with Darren which was a duo shoot with a female model and also a body painter was involved. Always wanted to work with Darren due to as has port suggests its clear that he can produce some amazing images.

Darren turned up on time and raring to go, I found him to be very chatty, easy to get on with and can do a great c3po impression when painted gold. He is actually a very funny guy!

Darren helped pull off some cracking images throughout the day and his pure professionalism stood out from the start. The shoot involved a lot of lifting the female model which he did with ease and without complaint.

I would strongly recommend Darren to anyone looking to create something awesome!

Thanks Darren, we will without doubt be working together again. 10/10

Once Upon A Body - MUA

Darren is one of the funniest, most down to earth male models I have ever met! I worked with him for the first time a few days ago. I was slightly scared as as most of his images are very strong and intimidating (in a good way!) ....but he is such a softy!! And an all round lovely person! He is very tall (to me!)...and we had such a giggle as I had to paint every inch of him gold...he moved his body every now and then so it was easier for me to paint and I felt at ease with him straight away. His energy is outstanding, he made the shoot very easy and comfortable for me. I would certainly paint him again for a shoot!

I had an art nude shoot with Daz yesterday and he is a fantastic model, easy to work with and knows exactly how to pose his exceptional physique, both to the light and to the camera.

He's got a great artistic mind and made some valuable contributions to the set ups of the shots we did. He had no problems with the conditions (a bit cold and windy) and the location of the shoot (a disused slate quarry), and took directions well, as well as having a great range of poses of his own.

I would definitely recommend Daz for art nude and to be honest, any kind of shoot, as his portfolio shows that he is adept at anything!

Yesterday I finally had the outstanding pleasure of working with the lovely Darren! He's an absolute star, his pre comms are fantastic and he always takes the time to converse about the shoot, he turned up the day before our shoot (talk about commitment!) with L.R.M Photography, so needless to say he was early and ready to shoot. With him staying at the studio the night before with me it gave us a chance to get a feel for one another and get some more ideas down for the next day, Darren has a fab sense of humour and makes you feel at ease straight away. When we started shooting in the morning Darren was energetic and full of ideas, he poses with strength, ease, and freely. We got through some amazing sets quickly as we were able to get into character together without a hitch (when I wasn't pulling faces to get a smile out of him on camera!). I can't express just how much I enjoyed working with Darren, he's such a lovely down to earth person off set, and a very hard working model on set. I hope your back is okay after carrying me around the studio! Also Darren is very courteous with other models, making sure they're comfortable, when he had to hold me up for a shot he was always careful when putting me back down, which was very much appreciated.

Anyone looking for a hard working, not to mention gorgeous male model to work with Darren is your man. He is 110% highly recommend by me for any model or photographer.

Had my second shoot with Darren yesterday. This time round it was a 2 model shoot with Darren and the fantastic Scarlett Fox. There is not much that can be said about Darren that has not been said before but he is without doubt one of the top models on Purpleport and for me, the top male model around.

He is amazing when it comes to pre-coms, clothing/looks and no detail is overlooked and his work ethic and planning is so professional.

But on top of that he is one of the most genuine, friendly and fun to work with people I have had the pleasure to shoot with. Each shoot with Darren usually ends up with us all bursting into laughter. He is very easy to work with so if your new to shooting males Darren should be at the top of your list and don't let his superb port or 1015 FPI's :) put you off working with him, you will learn a lot from working with him.

Very easy for me to recommend Darren and there will be a 3rd shoot between us somewhere down the line for sure

Brilliant shoot yet again with Daz. This time he was excellent as a cowboy and we had such a laugh. We had so many ideas and we could have just carried on shooting for the whole evening. I luv working with Daz , he has great ideas , is very enthusiastic and makes the difference between good and great. A really great guy to work with

Seventeen Point Five

Darren joined New City PS for a camera club evening. He coped well with the mix of abilities, posing directed and undirected.

Pre-shoot comms were great and he has a great personality that makes him a pleasure to work with.

Simply badass.
