It was such a pleasure to work with this wonderful photographer during my visit to Edinburgh.

From the moment I arrived at the meeting spot she was very warm and friendly, I instantly felt at ease upon meeting her. The ideas she came up with were fantastic to create, I like that the shoot felt like a mini-adventure. The first location she selected was a place just outside of Edinburgh which was incredibly beautiful, I enjoyed the sightseeing as much as I enjoyed the shoot itself. :)

Darja, shoots very quickly but, I knew that this was because she knew exactly what she wanted from the sets. She composes images very well and has a good understanding of colour, she knows what works and what doesn't. She also has a great sense of empathy and made sure that I was happy and, comfortable all throughout the shoot. She didn't want to overwork me.

She is a wonderful person. If I do get the opportunity to work with her again, I would jump at the chance.

I most highly recommend her to all without any doubt!

House of Hawthorne

This is was my first time working with Darja, and wow; what a wonderful experience. I sent off a gown as part of a collaboration and the results stole my breath.

She has a stunning sense of colour and knows how to bring just the right amount of presence to a picture without overworking it. Her style is beautiful and tells a story on its on.

I am extremely grateful I got the opportunity to work with her, and would be absolutely thrilled to work with her again, if she wishes to.

I definitely recommend working with her. Her work in a word, is magical.

She had now become a close friend and I will say to anyone i know, that she is my favourite natural light photographer and editor I’ve ever worked with !!

She’s wacky, fun and constantly makes me laugh !

Had the pleasure of shooting with Darja twice this week up in Scotland, really easy to communicate/plan with and full of wonderful ideas. I was treated respectfully and with care. She arrived on time to both locations and took me to an absolutely stunning spot for our first shoot, which a lot of thought went into. Darja is a very professional/patient photographer as well as being relaxed and sweet-natured as a person. Helped carry my bags, getting me fully ready and taking me to the bus stop.

I will no doubt be working with her again in the future and am looking forward to seeing our final images, would recommend highly.

OhMyGosh. Where do I start with Darja?!

Basically, in a nutshell, I loved Darja's work before i even knew it was Darjas!! lol!!! (Pinned a photo of her work on pintrest without knowing her) and then seen more of her work and completely fell in love with her style and beautiful tones in the rest of her photographs! I literally couldn't believe she was living not too far away from me. We ended up contacting each other through facebook and the rest is history!

For quite some time, We planned a magical story telling fantasybased shoot and finally worked together last sunday...... the photos are a DREAM!! The shoot went even better than i had imagined and the photos blow me away every time i look at them! We truly bought a magical fairytale to life.

Darja is also such a beautiful person and its really humbling getting to work with someone so lovely. She is very hard working, and creative, with a ton of whimsical ideas. She explores and searches high and low just to find a good location for shoots and definitely doesn't disappoint when it comes to this! The ideas she has for locations is amazing! Darja is Very encouraging too, and is just a magical person to be around.

i really hope to create some magic with her soon again! more in the pipelines ;)
