I've had the pleasure of being back in the studio and working with John on various e-commerce/product shoots.

It goes without saying that John is a top-tier pro and would always recommend him for any assignment!

John ran a workshop on using UV lighting. This was great fun and very informative. The concepts were clearly explained, and the equipment set up in the studio let us try a variety of different techniques in a relaxed way, and we were also able to make suggestions for things to try. The model and make-up artist were also excellent.

I've worked with John countless times now, and knew he would be the right guy for this style of work, and he really did deliver.

By now my recommendation may be a bit biased, but if you get the chance to work with John - just do it.

I modelled for an art nude workshop organised by John recently and it was so well planned and fun.

He made sure that I was comfortable and the photographers were all respectful throughout, as well as passing my dress to me after each section of the shoot.

He sent me examples of what we might shoot during pre comms and kept everything on track really well during the workshop day.

I would recommend him 100%. :)

Attended a short workshop led by John at Fine and DanDee studios. Really enjoyable workshop which focused on studio lighting for art nudes. John described several different shooting styles and how to set them up in the studio before allowing each of us to try for ourselves. Useful tips throughout as well as the opportunity to try a few setups of our own. A friendly and informative afternoon. Recommended.

John Rae was hosting a Studio Lighting Nude workshop at Fine and Dandee Studio, he was great to talk to and a font of knowledge, even providing handouts, which saved me from trying to write it all down.

He gave a clear briefing before each shoot, running through different lighting options and set ups, with guidance/suggestions when I needed it.

Had my first shoot with John at a charity group shoot, and it went great! We had the very last slot and we were exhausted from the heat - so luckily John was happy to take it slow and finish abit early. In the short time we had we still got some good shots and John brought alot of clothing along and even let me keep a shirt! John is really funny, great to chat to and made me feel comfortable. I met John at a recent charity photoshoot, originally we weren't meant to shoot together but another model pulled out so he had a free slot so I jumped at the chance as I really like his images.

He came with literally a car load of outfits and a great personality to match, the shoot was short but fun and he helps with direction when needed. I'd be really happy to work with him again and hope we do soon, I even tolerated his singing.. Haha

What a pleasure to work with John once again at a recent charity group shoot, it's an annual tradition now to work with him at them and I would like to believe we have become good mates over the years although I still owe him a proper shoot in the studio.. I will be over soon I promise dude!! :D

Always have a good laugh throughout, love a freebie bit of clothing or two of course ;) and the time always flies by as we just have far too much fun it seems!

As always highly recommended from me, you're guaranteed a good laugh at least and looking forward to another shoot again at some point!! :D x

It is always brilliant to shoot with this fantastically fun and creative photographer, who's outfit and prop box is like being a big kid again! We did some commercial product shots with came out stunning right off the camera even before editing. There were laughs a-plenty as always but that didn't get in the way of him producing a tonne of excellent pictures in record time.
