Have recently done multiple shoots with Christian as a photographer and some with him rigger and he is fantastic in both regards. His lighting work is beautiful and as a photographer is great at directing posing and being uplifting and supportive while working.

hird Workshop exploring Photographing Ropework, Shibari with the awesome Modeling of Scarlot and the rigging with Christian Red

Having attended all three workshops and each workshop has allowed me to explore the genre and opens up my understanding of the Art Form, for this workshop we returned to Natural Light Space

This was an other Awesome and Spectacular day with Scarlot and Christian being the perfect hosts and super informative tutors in, and superb practitioners of this ropework art form

The whole day was really informative in both the opportunities presented to the Photographer to portray both a static floor based and suspension sets and a dynamic final performance set

We also had the opportunity to get our hands on the rope and tie a body harness, then experience a partial suspension, certainly increased the understanding of the dynamics of what was happening between Scarlot and Christian, a totally immersive experience

Safety brief reference where to tie and where not to tie was comprehensive and as important why certain areas should be avoided

An awesome experience that brought the whole rope genre to life by participation :-)

The full workshop was superb, from beginning to end, both Scarlot and Christian opening up and allowing the photographers into another more private side of them opening up and revealing the Art Form that is Shibari in a beautiful and informative way

The initial sets were static flash based under a variety of lighting types, producing superb and different images

The final performance set was shoot with constant and ambient lighting and allowed a more reportage type shoot of the whole set

Would Highly Recommend both Scarlot and Christian, particularly if/when they run another similar workshop

After mulling over the Scarlots invite to the Shirabri workshop, and deciding 'it wasn't really my thing' I pitched an alternative proposal to Scarlot which both she and Christian Red fully embraced.

A few ideas and mood board images exchanged and the shoot came to fruition.

Much of the time was spent working with the contrast texture between rope and skin, embracing initially natural light, then moving onto art nude with rope with studio lighting.

Working with two consummate professionals who know their craft, Scarlot with posing ideas and Christian with initial rope lay then development of the look, made the shoot truly enjoyable.

Shibari will not be a main feature of my port - but when I do want to explore any ideas along these lines then I'll definitely make a beeline for Scarlot and Christian.

Very Highly recommended (Going to be lazy and cut-n-paste the same reference for Scarlot)

I was at Christian Red and Scarlot Rose's Shibari workshop yesterday, which I would recommend to anyone who has the opportunity to attend. Christian is a very patient and approachable instructor, with a very calming influence about him. In short, a lovely guy. He instructs at a pace that we novices were able to follow, and was happy to stop, untie, and go over something again if asked. Watching him in action was amazing, in a way that you find when watching an expert professional at work on their craft. It was also good to see the care that he showed for Scarlot Rose, our model for the day. Happy to recommend to models who may be considering this genre, photographers, and studios. Thanks Christian.

Christian and Scarlot Rose organised a second Shooting and Understanding Shibari Workshop at Oasis Studio as a follow on from the event held at Natural Light Space as few months ago

Both a floor based and a suspension based demonstration was proposed, utilising a set of floor based hooded halogen lights, generating an unusual lighting to the sets

The workshop was an immersive experience Christian and Scarlot worked with the photographers, with a variety of simple ties and rope patterns, we did ourselves using one of the other photographers as a partner.

Christian was a rigger on a shoot for Fantasy Dabblers I did with UK Cute Girl Lucy. He was wonderfully easy to get along with, extremely knowledgeable and conscientious about the safety and comfort of us models.

He is as creative in his artistic application of the rope as he is skilled on the technical side. He wasn't there just to tie rope, he collaborated and together we all had a great time and made some amazing images!

I would absolutely work with him again in a heart beat, and wholeheartedly recommend him as a rigger.

Fantasy Dabblers

This was the first time we had ever had a rigger at one of our shoots and Christian was absolutely great. He was very solicitous of the models making sure they were happy with ties and knew what warning signs to look for. They both appreciated this. He was also incredibly creative and came up with his own ideas as well as winging it on a given scenario and created an amazing look. We thoroughly recommend him and will undoubtedly use his services again.

ChristianRed was the rigger on my shoot yesterday. I must say I have never met a more conscientious rigger before.

He was very aware of safety throughout the shoot and regularly checked in with me and his ties were perfect to ensure I was as comfortable as possible.

He was very knowledgeable and I even learnt a few things from him during the shoot.

On top of this he was incredibly creative, offering ideas to the photographers to get awesome shots and making some really interesting and unique ties.

Also a very friendly and pleasent person to work with. I hope I get the opportunity to work with him again at some point :)

Very informative introduction to the day, the plan for the workshop was well thought out and drew you in

Rope 101 was an immersive experience as we were taken through actually completing a simple initial knot then completing a leg tie on ourselves :-)

Scarlot Rose

I'm afraid this reference is very biased, Christian has become a great friend of mine and we tie together a lot outside of professional shoots but he is without a doubt my go-to rigger when asked by photographers and was also my first choice for co-teaching and running a recent workshop with me!

The workshop was potentially a crazy idea, I'd never taught or seen anything like it but between the two of us we discussed concepts, what we wanted to achieve and rehearsed together to ensure we had the most to offer to our attendees. To say I was hesitant about the success of such an event would be an understatement, but it turned out to be by far the most memorable event i've had the pleasure of organising, running and teaching!

On the day christian was a great teacher! He offered many insights and is great at tailoring the content to the specific students. Having had rope tuition with Christian myself, I know how patient he can be and also how great he is at giving just the right amount of information and picking up on areas of difficulty. We did a mixture of practical tuition and performative style rope during the event and he is a true professional in both areas!

I was also grateful that the workshop allowed us to show a more personal connection that was captured beautifully by the attendees and felt like a beautiful mixture of private and professional.

Very highly recommended and I'm more than happy to suggest him to other models/photographers as well as being my go-to for any rope based photography!

Very enjoyable morning with Scarlot Rose and Christian red on their Shibari Worksop at Natural light Spaces. A very informative morning, and an opportunity, to shoot some images of Christian tying, and also some lovely suspension images of Scarlot. Super half day workshop which I'm sure they'll re-run. Christian was particularly patient whilst instructing. Thanks guys.

Christian is someone I work with regularly, and I trust him completely. He is he warm, friendly and professional. He will work hard to ensure that the creative vision of the shoot is realised, and he will do so with genuine care about the model's welfare and is uncompromising in this regard.

I've shot with him for private photoshoots and with Shadowslaves, and he was efficient, honest, helpful and a joy to collaborate with. Couldn't recommend him more highly!

ChristianRed is a rigger I've admired the work of for quite a while, so I was eager to get to collaborate with him on a photoshoot with Suffering4Art. Christian is easy to communicate with, which is exceptionally important in the context of rope; any worry, any niggle, I felt that I could bring up no matter how small. He listened to any ideas that I had, as well as contributing his own in addition to executing the concepts of the photographer. I highly recommend him, both to photographers and models alike.

Yet another fantastic shoot with Christian. This time also included some video work and transitions so was more complex that previous shoots but as always I felt very safe and Christian was very quick to adjust any elements which were uncomfortable for me. I am always impressed with how quickly Christian ties, yet with such creativity, skill and respect for his models.

I am already looking forward to the next time I get to work with Christian, and highly recommended him to anyone looking for a rigger.
