I had the most amazing first-time shoot for quite a while with Cariad on a visit to Pembrokeshire today :-) I've wanted to work with her for a while now but have not often seen her down south so I jumped at this chance without even realizing quite how long a drive it would still be from Bristol -- which eventually meant me booking a hotel for a night to avoid driving for nearly 3 hours after less than that sleeping in order to meet for a sunrise shoot! But the extra cost was repaid with interest by the amazing work done by Cariad, and that despite not even seeing the sun rise because it was sadly overcast until the sun was high in the sky! This shoot certainly taught me one thing, though: It's worth starting early even if you don't see the sun rise because you're much less likely to see anyone else either... ;-)

The original plan was to meet at beach, but we made what turned out to be an inspired last minute change late on the night before (by which time we should both really have been asleep!) to start at a ruined medieval palace which by some freaky coincidence was right next to my last minute choice of hotel (which I hadn't even realized when arriving that night in the dark)! We arrived at first light to find the place deserted and Cariad had no qualms about diving straight into her signature art nudes, which she does like few others on PurplePort can manage, making the most of the quietness to get shots that wouldn't be possible at any other time of the day. Her partner Kieran was also on hand to help me carry around my gear and keep look-out while we got on with shooting. We only saw a couple of dog-walkers in the hour or more that we were shooting, and they didn't see us ;-)

We could have carried on all day (except we couldn't really because more people would show up eventually) but reluctantly tore ourselves away to shoot on the beach before people descended there too. However, Cariad and Kieran had done a great job of scouting locations in preparation for their trip and we ended up not seeing a soul on our chosen beach either, even by the time we finished (nearing mid-morning)! Again, Cariad was second-to-none with her talent for beautiful art nudes in beautiful landscapes, and was an absolute trooper for braving the water (with increasingly strong waves crashing in), precariously perched on rocks in two separate spots to gift me some stunning pictures that put Copenhagen's famous mermaid on a rock to shame! The only problem I have with this shoot is that after looking through the shots I honestly don't think I've ever had such an embarrassment of riches from one shoot, and I'm absolutely spoiled for choice as to which ones to edit and share with the world! ;-) Even shots that I originally thought were too dark looking at the back of camera actually look far better than I expected!

The beauty of the locations, the spirit (and beauty) of Cariad and the notable absence of interlopers made it impossible to resist the urge to continue with art nudes all the way, which hadn't been the original plan, but we can always save fashion and portraits for another day when we're less fortunate with the locations! -- and I'm sure that day will come sooner or later because I really hope to shoot with this lovely lass again as soon as she ventures south again :-) Whatever neck of the woods you're in, you should keep an eye out for Cariad coming your way and book her the moment she does -- you won't regret it!

Third time shooting with the amazing Cariad. Always great prep and comms. Totally professional and great fun to spend time with.

Cariad chose a stunning location on the Pembrokeshire coast, an early start as we wanted a sunrise, but cloud conditions foiled us, but failed to dampen our thirst to get creative.

We were soon into our creative stride and found some great shoot locations. Cariad is amazing at giving the perfect pose to compliment the surroundings. We soon called on the services of our lighting man,the very knowledgable Kieran for the woodland settings to add atmosphere.

100% recommended and hope we can work together again soon. xx

Great to finally work with Cariad again after just over four years since my first time working with her in person. This time was via remote as she had posted about doing some remote shoots over the summer months. Thankfully we worked out a day and time that worked for us both.

Cariad and Kieran actually arrived early to the remote as they had the same idea as me, get there a few minutes before and I'd wait for them to join, but they were already adding the final touches to the first set and it was just what camera angle and lighting I wanted. From the mood board I supplied ahead of time, we settle on an editorial look for the remote.

A great creative remote with Kieran being a star behind the camera making sure everything was working or moving lighting and furniture to get different looks for sets. We actually shot 99% in one room, but got different looks with changing sets and lighting.

Hopefully I won't leave it four years till the next time to work with Cariad, but I can recommend her both for in person and remotes if you get an opportunity to work with her.

I had a superb and enjoyable day photographing Cariad outdoors in the Derbyshire Peak District. Cariad is a wonderful model effortlessly producing pose after pose, each reflecting the surrounding countryside. She really enjoys outdoor location work.

Kieran, Cariad's partner helped throughout and they are both excellent, friendly company making the trip such fun. They have a detailed knowledge of the area and succeeded in taking me to exactly the area that matched my requested style of photography.

I came away with many beautiful images. Do not hesitate to book Cariad for any type of portrait or location work

Fantastic 2hr remote photoshoot with Cariad to her little home studio set up with her other half Keiran on hand to give assistance where needed.

I had forgotten how easy it is to do remote shoot, got some fabulous natural light art nude shots and few abstract ones can’t wait to see what the images look like.

Also nice little catch up as well, hopefully will book a proper in person shoot with Cariad before the end of the year,highly recommended by me.

I had the privilege of working with Cariad at Basford Hurst Cottage yesterday. We last worked together in Tuscany before the dreaded Covid grounded us all for so long. She was great then and is great now. Not only a stunning model but an absolutely lovely person. Easy to work with, creative and very professional. I hope it's not too long before I get the chance to work with Cariad again.

She probably doesn't need my recommendation but she's got it anyway. !!!!

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Cariad and Ivory Flame arranged a duo studio day here at Basford Hurst Cottage, which, sold out really quickly which was no surprise!!

It was a pleasure to welcome Cariad back to Basford - She is so organised and made sure to keep me up to date with how the day was planned.

Cariad is a fantastic model, she's polite, professional and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend her and can't wait to welcome her back for her sold out studio day next month!! Thanks Cariad!!

I had my first shoot with the very beautiful and stunning Cariad at the amazing Basford Hurst Cottage Studio last Saturday. Cariad is such a lovely person and a brilliant model. Cariad created some beautiful shapes both when we were shooting together and when I was shooting duo shots with her and Ivory Flame. Cariad was instrumental in helping us make some great images together. I had so much fun and such a wonderful time creating images with Cariad. I can't wait until we shoot again - thank you so much Cariad. Very Highly recommended.

Cariad attended my studio to work with myself and another photographer. We had 2 studio areas set up, one for fine art portraiture and in for fast moving flowing dresses and poses using multiple fast lighting.

Pre discussion was planning was excellent with Cariad making suggestions on outfits and styling.

The day went smoothly and Cariad’s ability to flex her modelling style quickly from one set to another showed a high level of experience and quality. Her knowledge of lighting and positioning is an invaluable bonus, meaning you get more creative and distinctive results. She has an ability to make the photographer relax whilst always striving for perfection- nothing is too much trouble. She is a lovely person, so easy to get on with yet highly focused.

During the day we constantly exchanged ideas and thoughts with resulted in images beyond my expectation.

I really enjoyed working with Cariad, it was fun, relaxed and highly productive.

She is a credit to the modelling industry and to herself as an individual of outstanding talent.

I look forward to working together soon and until then wish her every success.

Three Before Eight

Hard to say anything not already said, but here goes, great model with tons of talent, creative and a real pleasure to work with.

Having worked on art nudes in nature in the Peak District with Cariad on several previous occasions, I was very much looking forward to 4 days shooting with her, assisted by her partner Kieran Dahl up in southern Iceland.

The weather in Iceland even at the end of May and into early June can be brutal and very challenging for working art nude on location. This certainly proved to be the case, with some of the worst weather I have ever shot in at the start of our four days shooting.

I was astounded that this did not put Cariad off one iota, and she posed very much in harmony with Iceland's dramatic, wild and beautiful landscapes.

As mentioned above, this trip was run by Cariad, along with her partner Kieran, who took care of an incredible amount of driving, while still producing extremely tasty meals at the end of some very long days.

It was clear that both had scouted locations, and worked very carefully on the logistics for this wonderful trip. The sites at which we shot were varied, dramatic and stunningly beautiful.

Through Cariad’s incredibly hard work, alongside that of Kieran, and as a result of her professionalism and experience, we managed to shoot some wonderful images.

This trip with Cariad and Kieran exceeded all my hopes and expectations, and I very much look forward to working with them both again in the not too distant future.

As a side benefit to this trip, I also very much enjoyed the company of fellow photographer Andy Kirby, and learnt a few new techniques from him.

It goes without saying that I recommend Cariad very highly indeed to other photographers.

Worked with Cariad on our tenth remote shoot.

This one was a PGD Photo Studio, with simple props (hats) but some unusual angles.

And, as always, she managed to find a myriad of creative and very aesthetic poses and expression. In fact, many of the weaker shots from this set would have been top-tier keepers in many other sessions. Expression, body language, posing--she hit the mark every time.

This was my second shoot with the delightful Caz, a very beautiful and enchanting fine art model. This shoot was at the new Basford Hurst Cottage Studio hosted by Leanne and Simon. The shoot went superbly well, with Caz making some very useful and helpful suggestions to get the most out of the shoot. We did a variety of sets and were delighted with the results we got, conversation flowed throughout the shoot so the time just flew by, 4 hours elapsed in what seemed to be the blink of an eye.

I consider Caz as easily one of the best models I have ever worked with and certainly intend to book Caz again. It was a pleasure to see Caz's partner Keiran again too, a lovely fella with whom I had a great conversation. All in all just a superb shoot with a superb model in a wonderful studio! Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Cariad came to Basford Hurst cottage for the first time today to work with two photographers throughout the day.

Pre-comms with Cariad were great - She made everything so easy to organise.

Cariad arrived on time, with her partner Kieran. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them both. Cariad is a beautiful model and its evident she really loves her job. She is easy to talk to and looked after our location meticulously.

Cariad has two more events booked at Basford, a sold out studio day and a duo studio day with the equally amazing Ivory Flame. I am really looking forward to seeing her (and Kieran) again and I would HIGHLY recommend her!! Thanks for everything Cariad!! :D

How lovely it was to catch up with Cariad, on the first day of her tour. Along with Megan Farmer, and cannot forget Kieran, driver, assistant bag carrier etc..

Cariad arranged the shoot with me, and when I saw that she was available for Duo, with Megan, I knew it would be a great pairing.

Communication before hand was as it should be, working from a moodboard then adding our own twist on things on the day.

We also had plenty of time to catch up, as our last shoot was back in September 2019.

The shooting was creative and fun, and so enjoyable.

I can highly recommend Cariad, and Megan, either as a duo, or individually, to shoot with.
