Had such a fun shoot with Gary on my most recent trip to Scotland :D

Although being very lucky and actually getting a really good day for February it was still a seriously cold day when the wind hit (February in Scotland what where we thinking haha!!) but although it was out on location he was really understanding of the conditions and didn't keep me exposed for long. Making sure I was comfortable at all times :)

He's always super chatty and makes you feel at ease straight away!

We are already in discussion about out next shoot and can't wait :D

I worked with Gary last weekend while I was on the model day weekend at Pavilion studios Bathgate.

Gary was great fun to shoot with, he came with a great concept, gave direction very well and also let me have my input too which makes for great team work.

Gary is friendly and easy going person who I enjoyed working with, I am more than happy to recommend him to other models out there.

This is my second ever photoshoot with Gary now: we have nailed two totally different environments and on both occasions it has been nothing short of a delight!

Shoot 1:

Gary came to shoot me at my home on his travels after we had been in touch about arranging something on one of my past Scotland tours but had not managed to match availability before then. He was an absolute star with communications and everything: When he found out he would potentially have more time he got in touch right away to ask if we had the option of extending the shoot... Perfectly on time and everything, thrown in at the deep end working with just natural light but it was a really lovely shoot and we got on like a house on fire from the outset creating some really lovely pictures between us. It was always going to be a little bit play-it-by-ear because it really does depend on what the sort of light we get as to what the shots look like and it's a major challenge to the person taking the pictures because the exposure goes up and down like ocean waves! But Gary took it in his stride and whilst keeping an eye on the lighting conditions, nailing angles and composition he was very involved with suggesting ideas and noticing poses that he liked which is great feedback for a model because you can base ideas around that to get great shots in the bag.

It was an absolute laugh aswell: Gary is a respectful gentleman who puts a models comfort and ease at the forefront so I can confidently say that any model would find him really lovely to work with. I think we must have chatted about all sorts on that first shoot from photography/modelling related topics through to random things and I even learnt my new favourite technical difficulty phrase! "The circle of doom" for things that refuse to load! :D That is certainly what a shoot should be through: bouncing off each other with lots of creativity and ideas plus also having a laugh.

Shoot 2:

This time I managed to get up to Gary's neck of the woods on my latest tour of Scotland tour so we were able to get out on location at last! :) Well worth arranging a second shoot and risking the fact that is was December because we were blessed with surprising warm conditions for that time of year which allowed us to get some stunning beach shots as the sun went down, plus playing with different semi-clad fashion looks in the nearby dunes finishing off with some absolutely epic night time/darkness photography which was a really cool thing to try as I have not modelled much of that myself and it was something new for Gary so it really challenged us both which was part of the fun. Again... full credit to Gary for persevering with the technical side of things to get some beautifully dramatic results! As the sun disappeared completely it did get a touch cooler but Gary was happy for me to routinely warm up in-between sets. He likes a model to work on her flow/repertoire of poses which is good as each model knows their body but then he will pick up on shapes/poses that look good and direct as well. He's got a terrific photographic eye and makes a huge effort to have the shoot feel like a team thing. It was the same situation as our first shoot in that we had a laugh as we worked and the time seemed to fly by! Afterwards... Gary kindly drove me to Dundee station where I could catch my next train for my next stop on my tour. And guess what: day one of my Scotland tour and I had already managed to forget something after bringing literally everything I own in luggage. But it's okay because the kind-hearted photographer I shot with messaged me straight after offering to post it back to me. :)

well i have just had a fantastic two day shoot with this fabulous photographer and perfect gentleman ..

Gary came down to the peak district to shoot at my house and also some location work ..

Gary is so chatty and really easy to get along with , the time literally went by far too quickly and i really enjoyed every minute x

Gary came full of ideas and we managed to work through them really well and get pretty much all the looks he wanted to create ... i thought his skills and creativeness was fab and all communications up to the shoot were spot on ...

I highly recommend Gary to work with and if you get the chance to you will thoroughly enjoy it and get great images ..

I love working with Gary!!! :D Since our first shoot we have shot together a number of times now both on location and indoors - each and every shoot always yields some amazing results, it's been so nice seeing Gary's style develop with the different styles and every time we work together there is always an awesome rapport in place. He's a genuinely good photographer who will work hard to get the images to work, it's always challenging with ever changing light and conditions whereby you don't have the standard control like you do in a studio. It works the patience of a creative and I can wholeheartedly say that Gary is literally so patient, he keeps up with the settings like a champ and is always full of suggestions. Our last two shoots have been totally different and it was great fun seeing how we can create totally different looks still relying on natural light but in completely contrasting environments.

He's ace company, a total laugh and holds so much respect for models that every single person who books a shoot with Gary should feel totally happy and at ease knowing they're well looked after on the shoot. He's very understanding if your on location and encourages warm-up breaks... his local knowledge is the best too, truly stunning locations that are not on the busy tracks but easy enough to get to. Each shoot is a fun adventure with stunning pictures as the outcome! :D

Communications always fabulous, I don't think we ever stop talking from start to finish... He will drop models off safely on time for trains and pick up from stations to help out - A real star honestly.

Gary is just amazeballs! :D

Worked with Gary on Saturday on a swimwear/beach shoot at Aberdeen.

We had good communication before the shoot & despite the winds being quite cold the shoot ran smoothly.

Gary is friendly/talkative & professional & I felt completely at ease in his company. He had no problem with my friend acting as my chaperone.

I enjoyed a third shoot with Gary recently in Broughty Ferry and Dundee working from chic fashion to topless. Gary took me to some lovely locations and his communications before and leading up to the shoot were excellent once again so I new exactly what we were aiming for in our images. We produced some fantastic shots and even though Gary is still learning he knows what he is trying to achieve and takes everything into account learning more with each shoot. We had a lovely day and even came up with another theme for our next shoot. I highly recommend Gary. Thanks again for a fun and productive shoot.

Communication prior to our photoshoot was good, I knew exactly what type of outfits to bring with me as Gary described them and provided photo's for me to use as a reference.

Gary is friendly and easy to work with. He gave good direction and the shoot was enjoyable. Going by the shots he showed me on the camera we got some good images so I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. :)

I worked with Gary for the first time this week, we shot on location at a lovely beach. Communicating with Gary before the shoot was easy, he was polite from the moment we exchanged the first email all the way through to the end of the shoot (and post communications).

He kindly picked me up and drove me to the location and was friendly and chatty. We covered a whole range of styles and I had had a good laugh throughout! I'd love to work with Gary again on future tours and hight recommend him to other models!

My second shoot with Gary and it was fantastic, he is professional and fun to chat with. We did a raven bird themed fashion to art nude shoot and luckily the weather stayed nice for us. Gary's communications before the shoot and during the shoot were again excellent and he is very organised with a clear idea of what he is trying to achieve. well Gary ...what a fab guy!! I had a three hour shoot today in my hotel nr dundee ....Garys communications before hand were spot on , very precise so i knew exactly the type of shoot we were going to do and the clothes etc to bring with me ....

Gary was very professional and knew exactly what he wanted ....he was great at giving direction and was also happy to let me pose freely too....the three hours went by very quickly and we got loads done in that time ....

Gary is really easy to get along with and the whole time we chatted and had a laugh .

I do highly recommend gary to work with and you will feel at ease and have a fun shoot and I'm hoping i get the chance to work with him again when i come back to scotland x

I enjoyed my first shoot with Gary yesterday afternoon on location just outside Perth. It was our third attempt to shoot due to bad weather and Gary was happy to reschedule so we got the best results on the day weather wise. We did a ballerina themed style which was very fun and we were lucky enough to get some gorgeous sunshine. Gary is very professional, creative, organised and full of ideas. His communications leading up too and during the shoot were great and he was happy to give me direction but also let me add my own ideas and poses into the mix. Even though Gary is just starting out he has a good eye and knows what he is looking for with an enthusiastic and lovely personality. I highly recommend him to others and I look forward to our next shoot. Thanks again Gary. :)

Today I had shooting with Gary in my home studio...I am amazed with the results so far. Considering that Gary has only recently started shooting models, he managed to achieve great images with the use of only one studio light. Gary fully explains his concepts before the shoot making it easier to get the results he needs. Gary is a gentleman and great fun to work with and gives clear direction where necessary.
