I had my first shoot in Black Star today. I was very pleased with it. It is a good size and has very nice equipment. Bernie was helpful in getting it set-up and then left us to get on with the shoot; just what I hope for in a studio.

It is conveniently situated in Birmingham.

I will be back again, in fact, I already have another booking.

Had my fifth shoot here at Black Star Studio. This is an excellent set up with all the facilities that you need for a successful photoshoot and a very helpful host for setting up everything.

My First time shooting at Black Star Studio, located in Digbeth with free parking on the side street. It's nice medium size studio, with a changing room for the model, and the equipment was fully kitted, everything you needed was there, if not Bernie would help to get, thanks for the steamer😊. The studio was nice and warm which the model really appreciate.😊

Bernie was a wonderfuland polite host, I asked to see the studio pre-shoot, which he greeted and gave me a quick tour. Helped to set up the lighting and offered us Tea and coffee.

I highly recommend this studio and will definitely be coming back.

I had a fab shoot at Blackstar today, first time shooting there. The online booking system is really useful for planning shoots quickly.

Bernie was the perfect host, showing me the equipment then leaving us to it. The studio itself is great, lots of equipment but all useful stuff, no clutter. One huge plus point is that its warm! My model even turned some of the heaters off despite shooting art nude.

Will certainly shoot here again, thanks Bernie.

I visited Black Star Studio for the first time last week with ShakerMaker photographer.

Bernie is a welcoming host, he showed around and made sure we were comfortable with everything plus offering a cup of coffee.

The studio was well heated and good equipped. I would definetely reccomand the space to any creative that is looking for a great little studio space.

Black Star is a nice medium sized studio. Comms with Bernie was great beforehand and was able to confirm the necessary equipment was available to use and helped go through everything before we got started and left us too it.

We did a Mylar shoot using the reflections from the foil onto the walls and it worked well.

There's plenty of equipment to use (check the website) if you need anything specific make sure you to ask, so you know you need to bring it.

Black star is such a great little studio, was perfect for what me and the photographer needed it for, good choice of equipment and different backdrops were available

Bernie was a great host and helped set up at the start and also made a nice cuppa on arrival.

I highly recommend this studio and I’d love to come back again in the near future!

Bernie was an excellent host. Showed me all the studios equipment and helped me setup.

Studio is very well equipped with a great choice of backgrounds.

I've shot here a few times now, being quite local. Great little studio with everything you need in terms of lighting and backdrops, also lovely features with the building windows and beams.

Bernie is always very helpful at the start with lighting and then leaves you to it once you're happy!

I had my first shoot at the super Black Star Studio on Sunday evening.

It is a well equipped studio with good lights. A fair selection of backgrounds. For it's size it packs a big punch. The studio was also lovely and warm. Bernie was very helpful.

I will definitely use this studio again. Highly recommended.

An absolutely delightful little studio! Have been wanting to come here ever since it popped up on PurplePort and finally came Birmingham way with my lovely JDRose in tow. We had two hours booked and they flew by. Bernie was really helpful with set up, had the studio lovely and warm for us and made a lovely coffee.

Will definitely be back again and definitely recommend!

I had a shoot booked in with Mercia Storm here at Black Star Studio,

The studio was a fantastic little place, very well equipped and plenty of room to shoot and play around with lighting techniques,

Bernard was very welcoming and helpful with initially setting up lights and supplying hot drinks on a very cold and chilly evening,

A great shoot was had and the studio was fantastic to work in, I highly recommend if your in Birmingham looking for a studio it is well worth it and a great affordable price too,

What a gorgeous little studio. Brilliant set up, cosy and fully equipped for a fantastic shoot!!

Bernie really has done an awesome job with the place and his pre comms are fantastic. The help I received with the poster before hand was a massive boost and he is a very friendly, warm and inviting person!!

Will try to organise more dates here in the new year as this really is an amazing place to shoot!!

This is a lovely little studio, and great value. The owner was very accommodating for a late-notice shoot, and understanding about a change of plans. It's not huge, but big enough. I will definitely consider using this studio again.

Set up a couple of shoots at Black Star. Bernie was easy to deal with and very flexible. All was sorted out during the shoots, with private changing area and seperate toilets and kitchen area for drinks. Plenty of room and colour backdrop options. Well worth giving this studio a try while it is at an introductory price.

I organised a studio day with Bernie at the Black Star Studio. Pre-communication was great and Bernie was very reactive. He offered few days before my arrival if I needed any drinks or food for the day. When I arrived, Bernie gave me a tour so I could make the most of the studio day.

It’s a small but very effective studio. It’s clean, tidy and has lots of equipments available which was appreciated by the photographers. They also loved the windows and the brick walls to give some variety using natural light.

Bernie helped set up the studio for each photographers and then would leave us some space while staying closed by if we needed a background change or anything else.
