Another fabulous shoot with Malcolm!
As always he had a wonderful short story for me to read so that I knew what character I was playing and could get into the mindset of what he was trying to achieve. We started our on location and thankfully managed to get most the things needed for his story there, albeit cold Malcolm looked after me as always, kept shooting sessions short but sweet and had tea with him to warm me up too :)
Then it was back to his where Fiona had made us the most delightful meal and had the log fire burning, before finishing off the last few bits in his home studio.
I always look forward to our shoots together, not only are they super creative and fun but it's always so wonderful to catch up with Malcolm and Fiona :)
Highly, highly recommended and can't wait til next time!

Once upon an inspired tale; in a land long since ruled by wolves, earth goddesses and loch spirits... There roamed an exceptionally talented mind of loyal embrace of the magic emitted by landscapes of vast beauty, legend and power. His writings were enriched by connection to the powers of nature and their unquestionable influence over the thoughts of the creative mind (a phenomenon ever mysterious to this day, and largely inexplainable to those who possess it - yet worshiped and expressed with joy nonetheless). Alas; the locations, and living enchantment of the essence of characters divine, strong or even vulnerable come together... Thus an artist, writer, photographer and devoted being from the heart of Perthshire makes his mark as a stupendously lovely person to work with!!!!!! ☺️
Okay, translation time (though I’m sure Malcolm, as a fantastic writer with RAW talent and creative drive will appreciate it to some degree! 😅) Here is what I’m talking about to all those who are lucky enough to be sane...
Malcolm is enthusiastic right to the core. In fact his enthusiasm goes beyond being a photographer who simply enjoys working with models and taking nice pictures... He quite literally cooks his inspiration from scratch and writes his briefs in the most innovate ways! He has a story behind every shoot: a character with a journey, achievement or fate even! And I cannot express enough how driving this is for a model, especially where some degree of acting and embrace of a character/emotion is concerned. You actually find yourself becoming part of Malcolm’s story and living/breathing the characters in it! When I come to Scotland: I look around and see mystic vibes in every direction! The rich hills/waters, the castles, the history... It’s a place that literally inspires you simply being here, which is why I was so darn happy to get back to my two-week long adventures of the whole country because when it comes to location work: it’s the place to be! When you are then lucky enough to model for someone like Malcolm; who not only has the sensational local knowledge of great places to shoot, but also puts his heart and soul into coming up with such meaningful ideas - I feel like it’s a job well done to the next level! And in some ways: I’ve done Scotland justice teaming up with such incredible minds on my journey. ❤️
Plus: who wouldn’t love being a goddess for the day? 💁🏻♀️😁
Our shoot involved both outdoors, and indoors (at Malcolm’s designated studio space). The shoot was relaxed, as well as being powered with the best teamwork and collaborative value - getting the shots and the yield from the time we had working together. 🙂 Malcolm carefully plans his shoots: so you can literally rest assured that he will aid every step in getting the poses/looks he’s after. He’s not afraid to literally demonstrate the emotion and mood of the pose he wants either - oh he gets entirely involved in his shoots, to the point of literally doing recce’s beforehand and hanging from trees to test out the concept! He’s just brilliant to be quite honest; his whole approach makes me smile so much because of just how committed he is to bringing his ideas alive. 👌 Malcolm thinks about everything as well: not just the practicality of each location, but the props/outfits too... And the technical side. Even when the challenges occur and the afternoon light begins to dip behind clouds/the horizon at an already root-shaded site - he overcame the limitations and made it happen to nail gorgeous images in camera. He doesn’t let anything stand in his way with his admirable optimism. 😀
Even though our day was packed with proactive innovation, and we nailed what we set out to nail: Malcolm maintained his usual policy to look after the model throughout the whole day and ensure I was comfortable, warm and well fed. And just generally happy! 🙂 Malcolm and his wife Fiona are the sweetest people you could meet - and if you’re heading to there’s prior to a shoot, then the first rule of entry is a nice hot cuppa! 😄 They also prepare delicious lunches and dinners if need be - honestly, you couldn’t be in better hands! Their hearts are made from pure gold and it just makes you feel valued from the word go. This level of respect, professionalism and caring nature goes sooooooo far. I cannot stress that enough.
I’m concerned I’ve been very serious and poetical up to now... So I’m going to finish with: we had an almighty laugh! 😉 Malcolm has the humour and fun-loving character on top of all the other good/credible things about him. He’s just a brilliant person to work with, and it was just great to see him (and Fiona) again after what seems like waaaaaaaay too long. So glad it all worked out this tour - great shootings, and great memories. 👀🌟
Thank you bundles Malcolm!

I knew it finally had to happen!! Myself and Malcolm finally had a shoot where the weather gods were kind to us haha!!
Another fabulous full day shoot with Malcolm, in the nicest weather I have seen in Scotland - so nice we even had lunch outside!!! I absolutely adore shooting with Malcolm, he always has super fun shoot ideas with a full storyline so it’s always really easy to Chuck yourself into the role and have fun with it!
Malcolm and his wife Fiona were also super kind to host myself and my husband, and our new mascot Caesar the Frenchie (who was a very happy bunny with all his walks haha!). As always it was so lovely catching up with them both, they are such a wonderful couple, so welcoming and friendly. We always look forward to catching up with them and can’t wait til next time :)
Highly recommended!

What an absolute joy it is to spend a day shooting with Malcolm Lind. I do feel fortunate.
He is such an interesting person to spend time with and a talented creative photographer. I appreciated the excellent pre shoot communication and planning, and it was lovely to work with someone with such vision and storytelling ability. He is also super considerate to a models comfort in working, the shoot experience couldn't be better.
So easy to recommend to anyone and everyone. Life enriching. Many thanks.

Another fabulous full day shooting with Malcolm on my Scotland tour.
Love the days out with Malcolm and his mystical stories. I also love them as we get out and about in the landscape and I get to see lots of beautiful Scotland!
Time always goes too fast during these days- but we got a lot done and walked a fair distance too (it was great)
Thank you as always Malcolm, always a real pleasure. Here's to next time!! :)

This was shoot number three for Malcolm and myself on my recent Scottish tour.
On the whole the weather was generally on our side and we worked at a variety of beautiful locations, having quite an adventure on the way.
I love working with Malcolm, he is superb company with a great sense of humour. :P
I got to be a bat for most of the day, always love acting the parts for Malcolm's stories!!
Malcolm even made an amazing lunch for me which was very much appreciated after our hike through the countryside.
Definitely recommended! :D

Given how lovely a time I’d had working with the brilliant Malcolm previously – I was very excited when we began discussions for shooting again on my latest tour of Scotland and the availability in our diaries was looking to match up! :D Not only is he a very creatively-connected photographer/artist who pumps a colossal amount of passion and soul into his work (which rubs off on you as a model) but he’s honestly the nicest person ever too who I seriously recommend higher than I can express! Not to mention a star host who goes to great length to ensure that models who come to visit for a shoot are comfortable, happy and have an all-round epic experience on the shoot and during their stay.
On the day before the shoot; I was getting dropped off after an all-day location session so I ended up arriving at Malcolm’s late evening. He was so cool about it however, and we continued to keep in contact, as per the super pre-shoot communications that we’ve always had prior to working together/in the planning stages of our shoots. In fact, Malcolm makes it an utter breeze for a travelling model – he is as concise as can be with his brief of ideas relative to the projects we plan to shoot around, he is so kind in how much he helps to make the models commute to him as stress-free as possible (offering pick-ups/drop-offs) and his chilled-out/non-pressured manner of conducting his shoots sets the scene for a genuinely enjoyable and inspired flow that always flys-by with productivity, yet never feels rushed or anything. He would sooner ensure that models are comfortable, content, well-fed and feel at ease to enable them then to perform their best with the best possible artistic rapport that a shoot could be blessed with. He has it nailed and it would be just easy to ramble on and on about how lovely a professional he is in his whole approach to his work.
The fun thing about shooting with Malcolm is that he always has his carefully created stories to act as a base for the shoot with the model to then undergo metamorphosis into said character and portray them through poses. You actually get soooo into this, like for real! You feel yourself becoming this goddess of the earth and everything which rubs of like an energy through your posing. This is just the effect of working with such awesomely, artistic-tuned people who evidently have so much love for what they do. It’s this level of collaborative value that you think of as the definition/description for what you do as a living. It’s just so hard to describe with words because it is an on-set buzz more than anything. :D When I arrived at Malcolm’s, I had a read of the latest story that he had prepared and this is a great way to start seeing yourself in that role. I can vouch get again for Malcolm’s next-level enthusiasm for what he does and how much he is dedicated to his shoots, it’s truly so rewarding to work with him and he is fantastic at capturing the moments. From hill-tops in the wind/exposed strong light to a model waded out into a loch – location photographer tests the photographer in numerous ways to keep working with conditions susceptible to change (each minute sometimes) and a model’s movement as they pose away with some distance separating one-another (communication hack). It’s a LOT to think about and work swiftly on in the moment to get THE shots. But Malcolm completely nails it. He is one HELLUVA killed eye managing all these conditions at one and putting those lovely images in the camera. As before: he had supplies and resources at the ready to ensure comfort and well-being was a big priority. We were blessed with good weather in the end this time, but he assembled the snacks/refreshments… Had the kettle and yummy nourishment on the go when we got back to base and had lunch in-between sets. Towels etc. he thinks well about his shoots and prepares perfectly to guarantee all going well at these insane places of beauty that he pre-scouts for his shoots.
The same Malcolm as before: a lovely character, a real laugh/joy to converse with and fabulous company throughout. :D His hospitality is the best and the on-shoot vibe just ensures positivity at all times with utmost working relationship value between creatives. I love working with Malcolm and really look forward to the next time!
Thank you again Malcolm!

Another wonderful day of shooting outdoors with Malcolm, our second shoot together, venturing out to some absolutely stunning locations he had scouted previously. Malcolm had written a short story in which I was modelling the parts for each scene. I love getting to portray different characters and bringing someones vision to life. The sun was out once again and we had such an enjoyable shoot with some magical images taken throughout the day.
Malcolm was kind enough to pick me up and drop me off, he arrived exactly on time and we set off to the first location with our props that Malcolm had brought for the themes of the day. He also had some hot coffee and we went back to his house at lunch for the most warming, delicious soup. Being out on location can be cold at this time of year and Malcolm was constantly making sure I was warm enough and he had extra cosy coats in the car.
An extremely professional and creative photographer and artist with passion, drive, lots of energy and very knowledgeable. We did a little bit of walking to each location but not to much and to be honest I love a good walk and it makes the images that wee bit more special when you think about the effort that went into it and I really appreciate when a photographer goes out of there way to scout out fabulous locations.
Such a gentleman, a joy to work with, full of character and very respectful, we chatted about all sorts and bounced ideas off each other easily, he is also great at giving direction and more than happy for the model to put in ideas also and overall we had a very relaxed and fun shoot.
Highly recommended to all, do not miss a chance to create some amazing art with Malcolm.
Thank you so much.
I look forward to next time.

I enjoyed my first shoot with Malcolm recently with a fun filled day of artistic nude scenes portraying tales and stories of Blairgowrie and the surrounding areas filled with music and myths, I absolutely loved our time shooting together down by the River Ericht and the old mills with film and digital and then finishing up at Malcolm's home studio space again with film and digital. We had a very productive day with some fabulous work created together.
Malcolm is very professional, such a gentleman and passionate, welcoming me into his home and he even had a short script for me to read allowing me to get a feel for the characters.
We were down by the river for the first part of the shoot and Malcolm was constantly making sure I was safe and steady, warm enough and happy with everything we were doing, which I of course was completely loving it. The lighting was amazing and the sun was out and in the middle of March what more could you ask for.
We then went back to his home for some warm home made soup that was delicious and carried on for the second part of the day producing some amazing images in the studio space at his home using some interesting props.
Malcolm is such a lovely and kind person with so much creativity bursting out and you can see this in his work.
I highly recommend this talented photographer and fabulous person to all creatives. Do not miss out on the opportunity to work with Malcolm.
Thank you so much.
Until next time.

I always look forward to my shoots with Malcolm! They are guaranteed to be interesting and fun :)
He never just dumps you on a background and gets you to freestyle pose, there is always a storyline or meaning behind the images which I absolutely love as you can really get into character and it makes the shoot so much more enjoyable!
Not only that but he is a great host and I am always made to feel comfortable and welcome in his home :)
Highly recommended and hope to see him next time I visit the area!

I had a lovely first shoot with Malcolm on a very quick trip up to Edinburgh. Such a lovely gentleman, a real pleasure to spend time with. His ideas behind a shoot are very interesting and really make you think about how you pose. His shoots are a story and Im very interested to see how ours will be presented.
He is great company, the shoot time flew by - we had awful weather and he made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and warm - and finally he very kindly drove me to the airport too.
I really enjoyed our shoot - Highly recommended.

I had another shoot with Malcolm last month during my Scotland tour- this time we spent the day going out and about and being wild...in the wilderness!
I got to be a she wolf for the entire day- and I thoroughly enjoyed it! As always Malcolm is lovely. He is full of weird and wonderful ideas and I do really enjoy working with him!
I was well looked after all day- the weather wasn't so kind to us but we persevered non the less and took some super photos.
Malcolm even did a tasty lunch for me and we finished the shoot in the studio space at Malcolm's home.
A lovely day that flew by, thank you so much Malcolm and hope we can do it again next year :)

This was my second shoot with Malcolm and again we shot for a whole day. We worked at various, beautiful locations working through Malcolm's ideas for illustrating his stories.
Malcolm is so lovely to work with. His knowledge of history and the natural world is fascinating and makes for fantastic conversation.
At lunch time, we popped back to Malcolm's house where his lovely wife had soup waiting for us which was very much needed and appreciated due to the bitter winds we had been out in.
Thank-you Malcolm for another brilliant shoot, I thoroughly enjoyed our time together. :D

Malcolm and I worked together for the very first time on my most recent Scottish tour - a combination of outdoor work and studio work at his home studio. I cannot believe this was our first shoot because I had such a blast shooting with this gent and genuinely find him a true inspiration with all his creative passion around his photography/writing! He’s such an unquestionably gifted person!
It’s always an ambitious tour to do in the middle of Winter; but the locations and landscapes up North just win my heart every time so there is not a chance I could have completely ruled out location work. And when you work with considerately lovely photographers like Malcolm; it is fully achievable with 10 stars! Malcolm planned this shoot with perfection - he got all the sites prepared as per the themes for his project. It goes without saying that his knowledge of the local landscape and history is applaudable, it further confirms the wonderful passion he has for the work he does. Each of the locations he scouted for us had, naturally a significance to the shoot, but a story of its own which Malcolm could reiterate like it was written on his hand! I adore so much working with people like this because all forms of art in every sense have a meaning or source one way another and it’s genuinely insightful learning about the routes of such.
Though the wind challenged us, there was not a single point on the shoot when I wasn’t wrapped up warm until the very moment we were prepared to capture the moment. Malcolm worked swiftly to seize all the angles and inject the drama into each of the shots with beautiful composition - then he’d call the time to warm up again and remain comfortable and happy at all times. He is so aware of the well-being of creatives he is working with and I can reassure any model who might be planning a location shoot with Malcolm... You will be very well looked after. Hot tea/warm car/yummy food for lunch/empathic nature. A true gem - a shoot I extremely enjoyed as a result.
In the studio Malcolm showed the same tremendous creative drive and we covered fabulous variety. One shot might have been elegant and dainty whilst the next was fun/light-hearted. It was a delight reviewing the back of the camera - of which Malcolm kindly allowed me to take snaps of for my social media with an extremely excited “look what we did today” story. The whole vibe of the shoot from beginning to end was relaxed, innovative and actually a lot of fun! We chatted profusely generating a brilliant working rapport and atmosphere which really made the day flow by in a heartbeat.
Excellent communications, stupendous professionalism. Someone I don’t need to think twice about recommending very highly indeed!
Thank you so much Malcolm!

My second shoot with Malcolm and was just as lovely as the first :)
As before he had a specific theme in mind so I could really get into character with the mood and look he was after, which instantly makes a shoot so much more enjoyable.
I stayed with himself and his wife again and as before they looked after me so well! They are so welcoming and really do everything in their power to make you feel at home. I find it so easy to chat to them both and genuinely get on with them so well.
Really hope to work with Malcolm again on my next visit north :)
100% recommended by me!

This was my first shoot with Malcolm on my recent Scottish tour.
Malcolm's pre-shoot communications were spot on so I was able to come prepared for our shoot and had a good idea of what he wanted to achieve.
We visited some fantastic locations over the course of the day and Malcolm was brilliant at direction.
I thoroughly enjoyed our time together as Malcolm is friendly, polite, interesting to talk to and even brought a hamper of food for our lunch! :)
Absolutely recommended! :D

I had such a fabulous shoot with Malcolm :)
We worked on a project he was in the middle of doing, which was really interesting and great to try something that was more based on a storyline rather than just a normal shoot. When I arrived he had the storyline printed for me so I could really get into the character and understand the story :)
He was also very kind to put me up for the evening with the trains not suiting travelling there and back in the same day, himself and his wife were incredible hosts and looked after me so well :D
On the day of the shoot although we were very lucky and in the sun it was lovely and warm, it still had a strong wind factor all day. However they both made sure I was kept warm and within my limits for the entire day, with his wife there to assist she was super kind in running back and forth to me with a warm blanket :D
Honestly one of the nicest shoots I've had in a long while, spending the day with them both and working on Malcolms ideas was lovely! Truly genuine, friendly and caring couple and could not ask to spend the day working for better people :)

I shot for 3-4 hours at Malcolm's place one evening- he kindly picked me up and we worked our way through loads of ideas from the classic nude, to more...Funky ideas too! ;)
I felt totally comfortable at all times, I got some tasty food during my visit, great conversation and have kept in touch with Malcolm too!
I really hope I can work with Malcolm again next time I am up in Scotland! :)
