My greatest photographic enjoyment comes from working with the female form to create what I see as representations of thoughts and the landscape. I have always seen the landscape as feminine, ever since childhood when I heard and read the folk tales and songs of wherever I happened to live. i work best with models who are willing to add their own critiques and creative ideas. Age is no barrier to participation, indeed much of my better work has been with a model of 45+.

I love working with film, especially instant film, and when my darkroom isn't overflowing, view cameras for cyanotypes and contact prints. I am not a purist, so I do a lot of digital work too, combining film, instants and scans to create something different. I work very slowly in producing final images. Some results may be quick, but some I have to take time to think over.
