Christine Keeler Reprise

I set myself the challenge of reprising the iconic shot in the Lewis Morley shoot with Christine Keeler, you know, the ones with the Arne Jacobsen chair.

Except it isn’t you see …. The chair was a rip-off of the genuine article and had an additional grab hole cut roughly in the back.

The pose has been done to death a thousand times, but rarely if ever just right with the correct detailing which is in my mind, key to the shot.

(Or maybe I was detail-obsessed because I designed one-off furniture in a previous life?)

I finally got the chair right at 5.30 on the morning of the shoot, and MY WORD Debbie got the poses right.

With the ever-helpful Paul giving me some tips to get us started, we absolutely nailed the thing in a most enjoyable shoot.
