I have wanted to photograph Ciaron - The Bard - for a long time and it never worked out so when he was advertising a 1-2-1 i booked straightaway. I was not disappointed. He is the consummate actor which translates into fantastic modelling. Amazing facial expressions and poses. His wardrobe and props are amazing and we got through

5 changes. So happy to have had this opportunity to photograph Ciaron and will be looking to book again.

What a glorious shoot with the fabulous Ciaron. Our 2nd shoot now which was just as good as the first. Ciaron works so well with a team, contributes to ideas, helps create a fabulous working atmosphere and makes each shoot as good as it can be. Super reliable with great comms and a pleasure to be around. We are planning our 3rd shoot already.

Had Ciaron back again for another shoot - this time as the Joker working alongside Harley Quinn.

What can I say, the images are some of the best I've ever created and largely due to the brilliant way Ciaron gets into character and immerses himself in the role.

Other photographers that attended the event have all said what an amazing shoot it was and that it was one of the best they have ever attended too.

This is all testament to the hard work the models put in along with the amazing HMUA Benji.

Had another excellent session shooting with Ciaron last week. He arrived with a selection of great outfits, some of which were new to our group, and we shot both indoors in our studio and outside in a nearby churchyard. A great, professional model who is more than happy to accommodate any suggestions, and we are all expecting to get some superb images from the day.

Ciaron (aka The Bard) did a full day at Studio 9 Oldham today, entertaining a plethora of Photographers, keeping them all busy working their Trigger finger, moving seamlessly & flawlessly from one pose to the next, giving completely different looks with both the Morning & Afternoon groups. Ciaron contacted me over the Weekend to arrange a 3hr Session in the Studio, to work on a few images and to book future shoots.

The Evening produced some amazing images as expected when you shoot with Ciaron.

Another very successful shoot with Ciaron who is an unparalleled costumier and armourer and always supplies superb costumes and accessories which make such a difference to the authenticity of the resulting images. This time we covered themes of Ancient Greece and assassins creed which was a great opportunity to combine different genres of cosplay and add them to my port. Ciaron’s acting skills added the final touches to a really first class shoot!

Great shoot with the Bard at Captain Jacks. Great group of photographers working well on a busy shoot. Plenty of costumes with the usual banter wit and charm from the Bard. Can only echo the comments of the other members of the shoot Bonepix and Mike232 who have also commented here.

had a grate shoot with the Bard again today at captain jacks ,, top place chosen by the bard. we got through many sets ,, of Ciarons extensive collection of characters ,, we did the matrix ,, cowboy,, pirate,, noble warrior,, mad max.. a grate time was had ,, highly recommend a shoot with the bard..

I’ve recently returned from one of the most interesting, unusual and enjoyable shoots I can remember when I met up with some fellow photographers to photograph ‘The Bard’(Ciaron).

We spent the day photographing different themes in what what must be one of the most original studios in the north, a nice big studio packed full of weird and wonderful stuff which could be used as props along with the various sets. The guys that ran it couldn’t have been more friendly.

Ciaron is someone whose style of modelling is simply so different and I’d wanted to work with him for a long time, always admiring the terrific shots that appear every so often so when I saw his casting call I got my place booked in as soon as I could. His acting background is so evident and I think, must be a great asset in making the dramatic shots which are his hallmark.

He’s a real workhorse. There’s no time wasted with him and apart from a short break for lunch we worked steadily throughout the day. His fitness and energy are very evident! When I asked him as we were nearing the end of the shoot if he was tired he gave me a sort of baffled look and simply said ‘no!’ Thanks to his upbeat personality and general enthusiasm, together with some very good company, namely the other photographers who attended that day I can honestly say the it was one of the best shoots I’ve ever attended and I’m certainly hoping to go on further of his shoots.

Well what can we say - we had an outstanding session with Ciaran in our small home studio. His costumes were excellent- his poses and input to the shoot created a very relaxed atmosphere and added to the quality of images. His banter meant that at times we had to stop as we were laughing so much.

His relaxed, creative and charming demeanour brushed off on us all.

lets hope we can get together in the near future.

For yet another in our series of creative cosplay shoots, Ciaron arrived on this occasion with full cowboy costume and 6 shooter. We were able to create a series of fun and inventive cameos combining The Bard's authentic costumes with various props and accessories from the studio which, together with Ciaron's characterisation, guaranteed a first class set of images

I met this wonderful gentleman at an event him and his partner had organised. I provided makeup for a short film and there were photographers taking behind the scenes pics. He organised the day and sorted so many wonderful creatives. An absolutely lovely person to work with.

Yet another fun and creative shoot with Ciaron, The Bard, this time covering an eclectic mix of themes from Jason in Fri 13th, Stream Punk fantasy to a full wizard costume. The Bard, as usual, provided his authentic costumes and I was able to throw in some of our studio props which combined to produce a varied series of striking images. Yet again highly recommend.

Organised a small group shoot with Ciaron at our club rooms, and it could not have gone better. He arrived in plenty of time with a large selection of outfits and accessories, and we got through an impressive amount of work covering about eight different characters in four hours. Ciaron always brings the character to match the costume, and we all got some great shots. Very easy to work with, and more than willing to go along with anything we threw into the mix. Look forwards to working together again in the future.

Another enjoyable and very creative shoot with The Bard, this time covering 30s Latin American gangster and Steam Punk themes. Ciaron always arrives at every shoot with a new costume and together with the props in our studio we were able combine forces to produce some amazing shots. Ciaron always commits 100% to characterisation and authenticity and I look forward to future collaborations.

Yet another great shoot with Ciaran and this time he arrived with Musketeer and Napoleonic soldier costumes complete with all accessories including hats, swords, daggers, and an old compass. Not only does Cairan supply fully authentic costumes but he also gets into character when wearing them including dramatic fencing moves and many different poses that are enormously helpful when creating images. We covered a number of diffident scenarios and I'm very pleased with the fantastic set of images that have resulted from the shoot.

Finally got to met Ciaron at a recent workshop organised by Mainshoot and it was a pleasure working with him. He modelled Obi-Wan Kanobi and whilst we got to experiment with lighting and gels he showed amazing patience. Holding a light sabre for a couple of hours and taking direction on minor adjustments is hardly the drama and action he is used to! He is a friendly guy with a tremendous knowledge about movies and we secured lots of great images as he sorted out the Galaxy. Will be working with Ciaron again on some more' planet-earth' based historic looks and thoroughly recommend him especially to those looking to add a different dimension to their portfolio. I wanted to include more male model looks to mine and succeeded in adding something dramatic, powerful, moody and cosplay all at once. Thanks Ciaron.
