I like to tell a story with my photography but sometimes just want to take a pretty picture.

Welcome to my photographic journey.  Right here on Purple Port I’ve met a whole bunch of lovely folk who have encouraged me, motivated me, kept me on the right path. They have said the most beautiful things, have inspired me, advised me and generally encouraged me on my path to one day becoming the photographer that I want to be.

Outdoors is where my heart is. Beaches, waterfalls, forest, lakes, rivers and the gorgeous places that surround us in the North. I do believe that reward is directly proportionate to effort and a long drive and a big walk to location are all part of the fun and joy of a shoot.

I’m happy to shoot hourly rate or TFP but I never shoot both or do part pay part images. Collaborating on creating some fab Images is my fave way to shoot. I would love to hear from like minded people such as models, make up artists, designers, assistants, set makers and any creatives who can contribute to a great photograph.

If we shoot TFP then I go through all the shots and choose the keepers and discard the rest. I edit them and get them to you in around 3 weeks. You get all the keepers and usually receive between 3 and 20 photographs.

I LOVE to shoot with folk who have a burning, overwhelming, obsessive desire to make fabulous photographs. Folk who will move heaven and earth to get “the shot” and aren’t afraid of the cold or a scramble down the river bank, an early start or a trek to location. I love good communicators who respond with a clear and well thought out response within just a few hours of messaging. I love working with ultra reliable people who get to location half an hour before kick off and even before we book a shoot into the diary know exactly where the location is, how they will get there and how long it will take.

I have a thousand ideas that I want to shoot and every time I tick one off my list then I usually add another couple to it.
