Dreaminess

Had my first shoot with Alan, and I can definitely recommend him.

Prior to the shoot we discussed some ideas, he sent me some ideas for the set and poses, so we had an idea of what we were aiming for.

He is very easy to get along with, and has made me feel very comfortable during the whole shoot.

He is also great with giving directions, to adjust poses, in order to get the best shot! Which is great, and very beneficial coming from a photographer! :)

Would definitely be happy to shoot with him again!

Studio Luminescence

It was lovely to meet Alan for the first time at Studio Luminescence at our workshop with Simone Stocks.

Alan is a friendly and outgoing photographer with many years of photography under his belt. It was great to see his portfolio and see how he approached the theme with Simone. He was polite and worked well with all attendees and the model and was respectful of the studio space.

Alan's pre-comms were spot on and we were able to book him in without issue.

Looking forward to working with Alan again and seeing some of his results from the shoot.

I had my first shoot with Alan today and I’m so happy with how it went…

Firstly, Alan is professional, polite and very kind. He made me a drink on arrival and showed me around.

Before we got started we looked through images together to get some ideas and put outfits together, he also takes your ideas into consideration. He has a really good set up , many backgrounds, outfits/jackets which he lets you use or add on to your own outfits. There is a changing room set up with heaters , a long mirror , space to get ready.

I haven’t had a shoot in a while but Alan made me feel so comfortable and confident. He had the best advice I’m very grateful as I’ve learnt a lot from today! Definitely recommend.

A joy as always to work with lovely Alan, this time at the delightful Basford Hurst Cottage.

Relaxed, down to earth, friendly and funny, Alan brings a positive cheery attitude, as well as great photographic skills, focus and professionalism to create gorgeous images together :-)

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Alan came to Basford Hurst Cottage to shoot with Ivory Flame.

Alan is a complete professional and a really nice person to have around. He is polite and easy to talk to. Alan worked well with Ivory Flame throughout their time here and made good use of the shooting spaces available.

Alan had no hesitation to ask if he needed anything and looked after the place immaculately. Alan is welcome back to Basford Hurst Cottage any time and I hope to see him again soon!! Thanks Alan!!

I had my first shoot with Alan this week (second shoot ever) and it was fantastic. He made me feel super comfortable and gave me so much advice with posing, and educated me about all the lights. The pictures turned out amazing and I am looking forward to getting to shoot with Alan again. I highly recommend!

I had a brilliant shoot with Alan last week on my mini tour to the Midlands

it was quite last minute but Alan had a plan. Inspiration images were sent and I knew exactly what to pack- ideal!

When I got to the Boardroom Alan had been super organised and booked an extra hour to set up an amazing backdrop set- ideal, again!

The shoot was great fun and I LOVE the images we created. We had a lot in common (cats) and I really hope I can shoot with Alan again one day. A purrfect shoot that just went by way too fast

What a first shoot I had with Alan! We worked together on a sports/gymnastics style shoot and I felt like we got on really well! Communication was great and Alan is a professional, he knows exactly what he’s talking about and makes some very good suggestions in regards to poses and lightening, which resulted in some awesome images!

I met with Alan for a lovely shoot. Pre comms we’re great and to the point and we roughly planned a few ideas. Upon arrival he showed me his home studio which fit with a lot of the outfits we spoke about. We took a look at the outfits brought and discussed some lighting and went straight for it. Alan was very helpful with directions and explaining why the directions were given as well as explaining the lighting. which REALLY helped. I would highly recommend Alan to any model both new and experienced. Thank you for such a fun shoot! x

Big Shot Studio

Always a pleasure having Alan at the studio.

This time he attended for a baby shoot. As always Alan is the consummate professional, even though the baby took quite a long time to fall asleep he was able to put the family at ease to avoid any worry or concern. His patience eventually paid off.

I went to Alan for an update on my portfolio and headshots and what an amazing shoot it was!

We shot so many different sets in our 2 hour shoot! Alan sent across all the images the same day for me to choose what ones I’d like to be edited and got the edited photos back to me within a few days!

Comms both before and after the shoot were great and Alan was always able to answer any questions I had!

Alan was super friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment he picked me up from the station! We had a great laugh and the 2 hours went by so fast!

Anyone needing an update or for any shoot, I highly recommend Alan!!!

This was my second collaboration with Alan and it went just as brilliantly as the first. We did a moody 1920’s style shoot this time. Alan provided a great backdrop, props, dress etc, and i followed suit with ensuing hair and makeup was completed to a high standard. It worked like a dream and the photos turned out fabulously! Finished photos were sent very VERY quickly too.
