Had a marvellous shoot with Ayla at Athena Studio today. A beautiful space, or should I say spaces, with gorgeous natural light, so didn’t get to use the available flash equipment as no need.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Ayla here, it is an amazing location, beautiful , character rooms and spaces, lots of natural light to work with, good open spaces to allow for easy movement and good angles

Absolutely loved my time here and will definitely return to shoot with Ayla and hopefully other local models

This was my first time visiting Athena Studio and definitely will not be the last.

I took Jodieex along as the model for the day and 4 hours was only long enough to scratch the surface of the potential for this wonderful studio.

It's perfect for so many genres, it's spacious , uncluttered and with each room very well thought out. Plenty of good natural light even on a dull rainy day.

And the added bonus of finally meeting Ayla and Gary who were incredibly welcoming and perfect hosts. On our journey home both Jodie and I agreed that this was one of our most enjoyable shoots.

This was the second (and certainly not the last time) I have had a shoot with Ayla in her fantastic Athena home studio.

The first was a half day one to one using a lot a fantastic natural light that can be found in many of the lovely Rooms in her home.

We didn't manage to go outside in her lovely garden. - it was december after all..- I had planned to in the summer but coved put paid to that.

The second was a theme 'covered in honey' shoot in her home studio.

The studio has everything you would ever need including a great deal of lighting plus backdrops and props.

It is a well organized studio frendly and very welcoming and Ayla is a great host Garry her partner was also there today providing tea/ coffee and was even offered toast.

Garry did keep out of the way during the shoot.

I can very highly recommend Athena studio it's a fantastic well thought out studio.

What an absolute delight it was visiting Athena Studio yesterday. Situated in the Suffolk countryside this Studio is to be found in the idyllic Suffolk Countryside, not far from the town of Stowmarket. As this studio doubles as Ayla's home there is a homely and warm feel about the place that instantly greets the visitor on arrival. Light and spacious and deliberately kept uncluttered it is a venue that adapts easily to a number of shooting sets that are available throughout what is a large and spacious country home that once served as a village shop. On site parking is available with a drive leading up to the property with easy ground floor access to the front, side and rear of the property. The main studio is situated on the ground floor as is the bathroom so is readily accessible for those who could not manage stairs. The main studio is spacious for a home setting and is both equipped for studio or natural light. For those who have worked with Ayla before you know you are going to be greeted with a warm welcome and this was also extended by her partner, Gary, who happened to be on hand yesterday to make drinks and assist if needed otherwise he did not interfere with the shoot and kept out of the way. Yesterday's shoot was an unusual and messy one with Ayla covered from head to toe in sticky honey. If All or Gary were apprehensive about the potential for messing up their home it did not show. This was a relaxed and fun shoot from start to finish with a professional model and studio owner. I had a great day and am already looking for an excuse to return. I can highly recommend Athena Studio. If you give it a try I am sure you will come away as delighted with it as I am.

I shot at Athena for the first time today. I was greeted with a beautiful smile from Ayla, and a very welcome cup of coffee. Ayla showed me around the studio, which boasts a wonderful variety of sets. There's a well equipped studio for studio strobe work, but also a wonderful array of areas where you can use the natural light. Ayla is a photographer herself, and was able to advise on when the best light would be where. The sets are beautifully laid out with props tastefully added to help with the composition, so that planning a set of images comes to your mind in an instant. I avoided the temptation to run around shooting everything, and stayed with my own shoot plan. There's plenty more to go back for next time though. Thanks Ayla for your warm hospitality and outstanding work today. I am more than happy to recommend this studio to photographers of all levels.

Had my first shoot at Athena Studio and I loved it! Ayla was friendly and helpful but left me and the photographer to it which was lovely. The space was gorgeous with so many options to play around with and create some of the most varying shots I've ever got from one shoot! Thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to work there again!

This was my second visit to Athena Studio, its a brilliant place to work, fully equipped with every thing you need, lights - modifiers - props - shooting spaces in abundance and it boasts some of the best natural light I have seen in many a year......

You will be greeted by the owner, Ayla who is the perfect host, nothing is to much trouble for her, I guess being one of the most respected models in the industry as well as an accomplished photographer herself she has a deep understanding of what visitors to her studio expect and require......

I would rate Athena Studio very highly and will be returning to work there again without doubt.

My first shoot at Athena studio with the wonderful Ayla. A cup of coffee and a tour around the amazing studio spaces available left me with many ideas for different styles. Especially impressed with all the nooks and crannies available to create unusual backdrops. I look forward to further shoots at Athena studios with Ayla to use more of the amazing features. 100% recommend.

My third shoot with Ayla two of them at her Athena studio, and as usual had a truly great experience, I had a few basic concepts wanted to try out and work with, and as usual Ayla was very professional and we developed the ideas to a fabulous extent. Would I recommend Ayla 100% the shoots just get better each time already planning my ideas for another shoot.

Athena studio is a lovely place to shoot with a a wide range of rooms in which to shoot, a choice of available light and studio flash available, the main studio area was a delight to work in not large but plenty of available space. And with the choice of all the other rooms (and Garden, which i did not have time to explore) This Home made an excellent setting for my shoot.

Ayla was a great host, very welcoming, always on hand for any problems (there were none) but did not interfere with the shoot in anyway allowing a free run of her stunning property,

Athena studio is a terrific place to shoot with a huge amount of options to choose from. Well thought out to encompass many different genres and styles.

Ayla as well as being on hand to model also aids and advises on the best use of the different variety of sets. Also a great host ensuring you are comfortable and supplied with refreshments in a relaxed environment right from the first welcome.

Will look forward to shooting at Athena again and exploring the use of different sets and genres. Highly recommended.

Had a really enjoyable shoot at Anthena studio. Great place, lots of space with a variety of shooting options.

It was relaxed and had a comfortable vibe. There's natural light and natural settings. And there are professional studio strobes and backdrops too.

I loved my time there and I can highly recommend it!

I was lucky enough to come to Ayla’s home studio and shoot with Serenesunrise. Where to start, well Ayla herself is a wonderful host and went to great lengths to ensure we were happy with how each area was arranged to suit what we had in mind. She was on hand throughout if needed but otherwise we were left to shoot.

This place has so much scope with all its various rooms, nooks and crannies and a studio setup downstairs with various backdrops and a selection of lighting. Opportunities to use natural light are plentiful in every room.

Four hours sped past and we have much more to cover so we will be back as soon as we can.

Thank you very much Ayla for such a warm welcome and the use of your home.

Great studio - lots of space and lots of natural light - just what I needed. There are lots of rooms to shoot in, props and lights if needed. It's in a lovely location too. The best thing about the studio though is the fantastic host - thank you Ayla for being so accommodating during out shoot.

There is so much to shoot from! It’s such a lovely house to shoot from and I would seriously recommend booking this place as a space, it’s stunning! Lots of natural light and a lovely host!

A very spacious place with plenty of rooms to shoot in and lots of little details that Ayla has added to make it something special.

I will certainly be using Athena Studio again in the future.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to shoot at the newly established Athena Studio at an event hosted and organised by Ayla. The studio is part of a house which means that there are a variety of rooms to shoot in with all different types of styles to create. It leant itself to shooting by natural light which is always a bonus. In addition to the 'rooms of a house' there has also been created a studio with backdrops and a variety of lighting and modifiers. There is plenty of room to take full length images and there were a large number of props available. Ayla was a super host making you feel very welcome into what is their house and the cats were also extremely welcoming. I would highly recommend this studio for all photographers to book or attend events that Ayla is running. Thank you Ayla for the use of your studio and a great day. Adrian
