Hans was one of the founding members of the non-violent Nazi resistance group called The White Rose. This portrait, as well as another portrait of his sister, was meant to be finished on the 22nd, but I didn't want to rush it. The founding members including Hans were executed on 22nd February 1943. I've always admired them, so I thought I'd draw them as a tribute. His Sister, Sophie Scholl, will be drawn next. I'm quite proud of this piece as I feel I'm improving on my shading thanks to new graphite pencils.
