I put out a casting call for a pregnant model and Ashlee replied. We then arranged a date when her bump would be a little more prominent.

Ashlee is lovely and very bubbly. Her communication was really good and she turned up on time with a good selection of outfits.

She is really easy to talk to and has a wonderful Brummie accent.

She has beautiful curly, golden hair which really catches studio lighting in a magical way.

I have very little experience in maternity photoshoots but this is something I'm thinking of adding to my photography business. It is really difficult to switch from a boudoir shooting style to maternity type photography, but Ashlee was very patient and takes direction really well, so I think between us we have produced some good pics.

Starting arranging a shoot with this lovely young lady some months ago and then she discovered that she was pregnant and so we rearranged the shoot as a maternity shoot with a date optimised to give a good bump but not so far along that she would be overtired or that baby might make a cheeky early appearance!

Melia.Rouge's comms are excellent. She got delayed in traffic on the way but updated me with a new arrival time. She arrived well prepared with hair and make up all sorted and a suitcase of outfits.

Despite her bump she was game to try anything and we got through multiple sets in no time at all. She follows direction well and can add little touches of her own. A real bonus with this young lady is her beautifully expressive face which adds a level of sparkle to the images.

And the icing on the cake is her bubbly personality which makes her great company and really helps a shoot trot along as the chat flowed back and forth.

Would I recommend Melia.Rouge...? Absolutely! To photographers at any level.

Had a fabulous shoot with Ashlee today. Pre-comms were excellent, she was punctual and had a lovely set of outfits for us to use. We shot all genres from fashion to classical nude to portraits. I booked this lady for a 2 hour shoot as one of my 'wildcards', that was a mistake! I should have booked half a day! This lady may just be staring out on her modelling career but don't let that put you off! book her you will not be disappointed, I hope to shoot with her again soon

You read a models info, and sometimes a shoot just jumps out at you. This was the case with Melia Rouge.

Her notes said "Ready to embark on this modelling journey with me? Let's create some magic together!", and so it was; we created magic.

Melia may be a new model, but she more than makes up for the lack of time in front of the lens with her confidence and willingness to accumulate knowledge.

From the first hello she projected self confidence, which came over in the finished pictures, and she was also curious about the practical elements of the shoot, and why they happened.

Magic was created and I hope we can create more magical images in the future, as I will be looking to book this very confident professional model for another shoot before her diary becomes very full.

Performance Portraits

I don't know what the K stands for but I'm going to say it's Konfidence because Ashlee has it in spades. Not the arrogant, know it all kind though, it's the kind that makes you glad to be sharing some time with her.

Ash is truly a live wire with a willingness to learn and an ability to do it extremely quickly. She takes direction beautifully and looks fantastic in a whole array of extremely nice pants as well as in none at all, but whatever she's wearing, or not, that confidence just seems to make her glow.
