References for Art Photo Noir

Nigel contacted me to arrange a shoot for himself and his friend Graham, alongside Cariad Celis for a half day at Basford Hurst Cottage.

All pre comms were great with Nigel, and we were able to arrange the shoot easily. He sent over a mood board with the style of images he wanted to achieve. On the day of the shoot him and Graham arrived on time and after a chat over a cuppa he first shot with Cariad and then we worked together for the remainder of the afternoon.

During our time we shot through a range of sets including some gritty styled shots on the derelict stairs, and then a more relaxed, dressed boudoir, followed by some candid portraiture by the windows. Once again Nigel was great to work with and even put up with me when I threw my 'demanding model' head on ... ;) Haha!! Nigel worked hard to capture many wonderful images and time absolutely flew by working with him!!

Thank you so much for organising another wonderful shoot Nigel and I look forward to seeing you again soon!!

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Nigel arranged a shoot for himself and Graham, working with Miss C (Leanne) and Cariad Celis for a 4 hour shoot. All pre comms were fine and Nigel made everything easy to organise and book in.

On the day of the shoot Nigel arrived with Graham on time with everything they needed for a great 4 hours. Nigel worked well alongside both Leanne and Cariad, creating many wonderful images through a range of styles and looks. Nigel was always respectful of the models and our location and happy to ask if he needed anything.

We would highly reccomend a shoot with Nigel and look forward to seeing him again soon. Thank you for coming to Basford Nigel!!

Arranged a further shoot with Nigel and once again he was a pleasure to work with.

Pre comms were great which is always appreciated on a location shoot. We each knew what to bring and he made sure I was comfortable throughout the evening.

Really pleased with the images that we produced and would definitely recommend shooting with Nigel if you get the chance.

First time working with Nigel, what a gentleman! Very welcoming and friendly. I worked at his home studio and he made me a drink on arrival. I bought outfits along and he also had some outfit options as well as lots of fabrics.

He is very open to bouncing ideas off each other so we got creative with the fabrics and tried various ideas which was fun. In fact, we got so into experimenting with the fabrics over the lens, in front of me, leading lines to the camera etc that time got away from us and we extended the session.

Nigel provided tea and biscuits. It was a relaxed easy going photoshoot. I would work with him again and recommend him to others.

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Nigel came to Basford Hurst Cottage to shoot with Miss C (Leanne) for the morning. Nigel arrived on time with everything he needed for a great shoot! He worked well alongside Leanne to create lots of lovely images!!

Throughout his time here at Basford he was always respectful of our location and made sure to ask if he ever needed anything.

Nigel came to Basford Hurst Cottage to shoot with me for the morning. All pre comms with Nigel were great - He gave me some clear ideas of the sort of images he wanted to achieve, including a set in the bathroom and some art nude work around the natural light and big windows.

On the day of the shoot Nigel worked hard to compose and produce lots of lovely images, he really likes a model to portray emotion and this is right up my street so we hit it off from the word go!! We had a lot of similar ideas which made for a great few hours shooting together!! - Nigel also brought with him some dresses for me to wear throughout the shoot (even though we couldn't quite figure one of them out... Haha!!).

I had a lot of fun shooting with Nigel, he was always respectful of me and worked hard throughout the morning to produce lots of wonderful images. We had a good laugh and didn't stop chatting!!! Always a sign of a good shoot!! Thanks so much Nigel and I look forward to seeing the images and working with you again soon!!

Had a great first shoot today. I wore a fantastic dress that was already supplied, it was beautiful! I was offered teas and biscuits which i really appreciate! Very friendly and welcoming and so was his wife. The images I saw were fantastic , I cannot wait to see them! Such a great shoot :)

A very delayed reference here for Nigel, so apologies for that!...

Anyway this was my first time working with Nigel, even though he had previously attended the studio for a workshop I hosted with another model...

He contacted me with an idea of shooting some classical art nude images, providing inspo images, which not only gave me an idea of what he was trying to achieve but how I could help him get there!

On the day Nigel was super professional and respectful towards me and the studio.

We had a really good chat and giggle along with taking some really beautifully stylised images!...

I felt comfortable and safe throughout which is important when shooting nude work. So after working with him 1-2-1 I again recommend him!

What an absolute gem of a photographer!

Nigel was lovely from the first message. Pre comms we’re lovely and to the point. Unfortunately I had issues with train cancellations but Nigel very understanding and even picked me up from the station.

He was a good laugh and very respectful. Nigel had plenty of ideas but happy to work with any ideas I had too. He gave direction as and when needed and was happy to show images as and when taken.

I highly recommend Nigel and loved shooting with him. I just hope it’s not the last time we shoot again! Until next time…

I had the pleasure of working with Nigel on my studio day at The Lincoln Photography Studio last week.

The shoot was very relaxed and Nigel was very professional, he had some great ideas and bought some beautiful outfits and accessories to bring them to life.

I really enjoyed shooting with Nigel and I can definitely recommend.

Studio Luminescence

It was lovely to have Nigel attend our first teaching workshop at the studio.

His pre-comms where fabulous, easy to arrange and he even booked an extra hour with the model afterwards that again was promptly arranged.

Throughout the workshop Nigel was an excellent character, chatty, friendly and had a good giggle! He was relaxed and responded well to both the shoot techniques and teaching.

The shots he took were gorgeous and he interacted respectfully with both the model & the other attendees!

During his 1-2-1 he remained professional and respectful and worked within the studio taking care of the equipment.

I would recommend Nigel to models and other studios and do hope to host him again in the future at the studio!

I had a great shoot recently with Nigel in his home studio. Nigel is such a lovely photographer to work with, very polite, made sure I was comfortable and also easy to talk to. We had great conversations and bonded very well over our affinity for shooting on film. The shoot was lovely, he was very well prepared, and had lots of ideas, clothes and accessories to shoot portraits with.

Really enjoyed our shoot, and hope to work with him again!

I had my first shoot with Nigel this week. Pre shoot communication was very good, I had a clear idea of what we were shooting. What to bring. Nigel had a very good idea of what he wanted to achieve.

He was very polite and considerate of the model and very fun to talk to. I really enjoyed our shoot and the time flew by!

I worked with Nigel recently as part of my studio weekend at Studio 58. Nigel came well prepared and was incredibly easy to work with. Very polite, open to suggestions and respectful, and also really enthusiastic about his pictures which is always lovely to see.

Had a really great shoot with Art Photo Noir at his Home Studio Peterborough.

Prior to shooting Nigel was great at pre-communication and everything was discussed in advance to the themes concepts and levels we were shooting.

On the day of shooting Nigel kindly collected me from the train station which I really appreciated. His home was super clean and tidy and he’d set up a backdrop and prepared lighting and everything for our shoot. I had my own room to lay out my things to get dressed in that had some lovely mirrors in it and plenty of space. Nigel also provided some beautiful jewelry and scarves to use for the shoot which looked fantastic on camera.

Nigel was really easy to talk to and work with and we worked through a variety of different themes and concepts. He was really respectful and made sure everything stayed within my levels and limits during the shoot. He also always checked in to make sure I was comfortable too which I really appreciated.

More than recommended!
