Sometimes on Artemisian trips I have an idea that I think will work- pre-trip... but sometimes, despite all the will in the world there are reasons that just mean it wouldn't work "right"

It could be it doesn't look good enough, too difficult to get to the location with a group, too risky, too awkward, too many props to carry, not enough freedom for the models to work in space wise, styling doesn't lend itself to walking 15 minutes- the list goes on...

.

This was an idea I had that I didn't end up going with because I styled a much stronger and more unique themed shoot- many of you will recall the 'Desert Queen' theme from last year. That's what was chosen over this particular idea.

However, it was still a great idea and despite how painful it is for me to look and edit at the last few images Iain ever took of me I felt this little series needed sharing. 💔

I tried the incredible parachute skirt Rich Sisson gave me in a few places but it was a challenging prop to carry around on location and control whilst also being in it 😉 I'm glad I got these images with Iain though and sorry it's taken so long Rich to share them!

If an idea doesn't work first time I might re-visit it a year, or so later with more knowledge and preparation than last time. I'm thinking of returning to this epic location for a new theme on this years trip. I don't often re-visit the same locations but this is a WOW place that should lend itself well to the fabulous styling.

It's also a little nod I suppose to never giving up and always pushing yourself to better your creative ideas. ❤️
