So, I haven't posted much of late, Covid-19, work commitments, life in general, it's all been a bit chaotic.

I've also been going through a technical transition. After shooting with Canon for the last 20 years, I was attracted to advances in recent technology and have made a switch to the Sony mirror-less system whilst retaining my Sigma Art lenses.

My new Sony A7R iii arrived three weeks ago and I had the first opportunity to shoot in anger with my friend Amie Jayne Amie-Jayne Boulton (modelling), and Chris Conway assisting with technical support and lighting. Chris had also made the switch earlier in the year and his reaction had influenced my decision to switch systems.

Anyway, there were some challenges. The weather wasn't hugely impressive on the day, but the incredible dynamic range of the new camera coupled with the effective eye auto-focus system which worked beautifully with the Sigma MC-11 adapter saved the day. This set was shot with a Sigma 50mm F1.4 Art Lens

Lighting was with 2 x Pixapro CITI 600's, one with a 105mm rice bowl soft-box as key, and the 2nd bare bulb for rim lighting.
