Had my first and hopefully not last shoot with Alan yesterday .

Alan had contacted me with some great ideas he had for a shoot in January . However , a last minute idea and chance and we shot today .

Alan is a lovely , personable , highly intelligent and interesting person . Also his knowledge and love of rock bands is similiar to mine so I knew it would be a great shoot 🤘🏻😊

He knew exactly what images he was looking for and gave good directions toon whilst talking me through what was happening with each shot .

I loved this shoot and highly recommend Alan to anyone who gets the opportunity to work with him ~Roo x

So pleased to have Alan back at the studio within just under a week!

Today, he attended a modeling day with Ellie Mae as he booked one of the two our slots.

Alan was great as usual. Very creative and up for experimenting and trying something new - even if it didn't always work, he always found a solution to make it work.

Can't wait to have a reason to invite him back to be honest!

Shot with Alan for the first time today, he has offered to step in as I had a shoot cancellation and it has been so easy to arrange today's shoot even though we only had about 12 hours to talk ideas!

Like I said, excellent communicator, Alan also comes with great knowledge in how to use professional lighting equipment and totally not afraid to experiment.

You can see that Alan is genuinely interested in photography from his posts on Instagram - he has a lot more work on there (@silkhatstudio) and it's not just models. He photographs events, steampunk gatherings, cars, landscape, architecture and more.

He may not have many references on here but I can reassure you he is a sound chap and total gentleman looking to build his portfolio.

Alan made his way up to our studio for the first time today and we loved having him here!

Arrived on time, was very effecient and organised throughout the shoot. Great knowledge in lighting, he also made the most of the space we have at Zavod by shooting in hallways and the main studio.

Would love to have Alan back and if he ever wants to, the doors will be always open for him.

Pre communication was great. Alan was really well prepared, had a strong concept complete with moodboard and character breakdowns. He had planned locations and the logical order, knew what he wanted to achieve. Everything ran so smoothly. Instantly put me at ease. A pleasure to work with.
