The Elegant Maternity Dress

I've seen some maternity dresses in my time but this was one of the most elegant I've seen. It was part of a personal maternity shoot for agency catwalk model Tayy Laa, so I guess she knows where to lay her hands on some posh frocks.

Technicals: Brolly box camera right, white shoot through brolly used in reflective mode camera left. Both placed just high enough to provide eye catchlights without big nose shadows. 1/80th, F5.6, ISO 200 at 29mm on a crop frame D300.

Post Production: Usual colour and exposure adjustments, spot healing skin clean up and some dodge and burn to the female subject to give definition.

Colour graded the final image to give some blue blacks and a general movie film look.

The couple were shot in the studio on a white background and the image background was a location HDR shot, both images were combined in Photoshop.
