What else do you do?

I am currently not doing a 'proper job' due to long term illness, but still have my hobbies:

Modelling and photography (of course), horses, dogs and cats (again of course!), walking, *reading*, my garden, crafting - punk and alt stuff - bracelets, pendants, dreadlocks, dyed and acid washed gear, Facebook addict, scouring eBay for cool things, and sleeping ... aaahhh, sleeping. Such a great interest to have when you get so much insomnia!

I AM looking forward to one day getting back to work (ie being able to afford a horse again!), and am currently looking into training as a mental health counsellor so I can work my own hours to suit my health issues.

PP Rocks by the way!

My full time occupation I am a multi skilled maintenance engineer. Initially an apprentice trained electrician and have been in contracting for longer than I care to remember, four years ago I decided as did my knees and back that cold damp building sites weren't for me anymore.

I was lucky enough to get chosen for the job I currently do, 564 applicants for 25 jobs. I look after a major high street store don't want to say which one for privacy reasons but needless to say my job is extremely varied and interesting. I can be changing a lamp one minute then quoting for re-flooring the next. My remit is anything really from electrical work - plumbing - painting - joinery - security and fire - and a whole load more.

I'm an actress and aerialist (specialising in static trapeze), very recently graduated from drama school and moved to the big city to pursue my career (what a cliché huh?). I'm a self employed performer trying to expand my portfolio of work, whilst doing some waitressing at events around the city (to continue the stereotype). I also teach English and drama here and abroad through workshops, holiday clubs etc and am starting to tutor kids locally in English literature and language. :) x

I have been self-employed for the last 17 years as both a professional artist (painter) and shopkeep. I sell largely patchwork fabrics from across America and Europe. In the shop I also teach painting and sewing in different disciplines (patchwork, dressmaking etc). I use to teach and lecture in art colleges and universities prior to this despite having no qualifications in art or teaching! Outside of all this I design and paint and make, go to events and show off what I've done. I know, I do it 24/7 and I've done it since a child.

I once read that the original definition of work had nothing to do with labour, careers, paying ones way in life but rather meant the wisest way in which one can spend ones time at any given time. I have tried to live my life by that kind of idea.

I'm a restaurant owner/chef. Am Michelin recommended and have worked for Gordon Ramsay, Tom Kerridge and a few other well known chefs. I think its great reading through some of the other jobs people do, to see that photography and modelling can be so far away from what would be seen as a normal life!

I've just passed my fitness/gym instructing course! I spend a huge amount training so I thought I may as well try to make some money out of it! Apart from that, I used to work as a MUA so I occasionally do some makeovers! I also work on the other side of the camera, I love photography and editing photos, although my heart is facing the camera! :P

I filter the Internet (or maybe help others do it would be more accurate).
