Would love to hear your thoughts

I’m updating my portfolio, most of my images that I have on my port are from 2-3 years a go some even older than that. Please take a look at my portfolio and let me know what images I should keep going forward as I rebuild my portfolio.

I am also curious to know what you think my look is suited for, I get vintage a lot, but any other suggestions would be welcome!

Personally I don't think any need removing, nothing looks out of place. If they are only 2-3 years old then unless something has drastically changed about yourself then anyone would get a good idea of your look.

As for what look you're suited for, if I was shooting some fashion editorial then you'd be a great fit.

Hello Fay, I have seen some recent images of you on PurplePort which have been fabulous, one in particular by ‘Canonphoto’ (Nick) was superb but the others have been equally good. If you can, I would certainly add those to your portfolio for some current images.

I think you have a fabulous look and could readily cover a range of styles very well. I would book to work with you in a heartbeat for portrait and fashion images; just wish you weren’t so far away! I will look forward to seeing more of your work and hopefully will get to work with you in the future.

I think you should keep them all until you've built up more.

2-3 year old images are ok if you haven't changed much. As above have said, keep them all until you have images to replace them

Considering you've rejoined and are rebuilding it's fine. Since you say on your port that you're looking to rebuild you might say that the pictures aren't brand new (you will be able to tell if they are a fair representation, which we can't), otherwise it's all good, you just need more and newer, and that will come. Give some thought to which one would be the best avatar, the current one is OK but a bit stern, and you might find one that encourages people a bit more.

I think your current images show a good range for you to add to as you build up again.

I can see the vintage look but I think fashion, beauty and creative suits you very well too.

For your avatar I think the black and white simple slicked back hair and hand in your hip would be a good choice.

I don't see a reason why you can't do athletic or sport like imagery. The model Pippa does that and it works well for her, you and her have a similar figure. You can do many things just takes imagination and planning.

Personally I would keep 1 2 4 6 8 10 11, IMHO the others are not good enough for you.

Nice.

Interestingly minimal.

We never worked together in your "earlier period" so my thoughts are based on your profile now without any history attached.

I can see why you suit the "vintage" look - stick you in a 40s style dress and plonk you next to a steam train and it would "just work" 🙂 but it probably works because you have a very natural look that could adapt to lots of different things. You've got some variety there already:

The red dress in the car shows a classy, sophisticated look (although the photo itself has some technical issues with focus and exposure - I won't give unsolicited critique, perhaps something similar but stronger can be found?)
The peach sheer top combined with the make-up and coloured hair shows your strengths for fashion style images and looks great.
The green swimsuit in the "desert" has a great cinematic feel, especially with the way your hair is messy and blowing around - this is one of my favourites.
The one I like the most is the current cover-image - no nonsense, shows your natural beauty, with a pose that looks relaxed yet professional. If you were a film or tv actress, it's the kind of thing you'd have on your profile for casting people to see.

Anyway, I don't know if that's helpful or not, just a few things that came to mind. You can also ignore everything I said as I'm certainly no expert!
