Walter Presents… “Evil”.

Another of my Euro/World Drama recommendations for those that have any interest in such things.

“Evil” is a 6 episode series from Sweden, set in the 1960s at a boarding school for posh boys.

Although at times poignant, it is mostly dark, brutal, and violent. It does have a cool soundtrack. Well worth a watch!

The only complaint I have is that the characters who are mostly supposed to be aged 17/18 look about 30!

Streaming on Ch4 if you want to watch.

Thanks for the heads up.

Another Walter Presents fan here!  Currently in the middle of The Marnow Murders. Loving it! Among the huge favourites from that channel are the Deutschland 83/86/89 trilogy. I'll probably watch them again - they were that good.

Orson Carter I loved the Marnow Murders. The Deutschland series is excellent too. There are just so many brilliant dramas to choose from. Some I think aren’t for me, but I start watching and I just get enthralled.

I haven'y come across this.  Is it a collection or a sub channel?

Watched everything at least once. Code 37 Sex Crimes is a good watch too.

DO NOT TELL ME ABOUT THE MARNOW MURDERS!!!!! We've got two episodes left, and they're for tonight. :)

Yep. Most are very good but there are a couple that haven't done it for me. Tried The Reindeer Mafia recently but couldn't get into it. That's unusual, though.

Orson Carter I won’t say any more! But I loved Reindeer Mafia. One of my favourites I’ve seen this year. French series Revival is the only on I’ve given up on recently.

I have been feasting on Walter Presents since he first started. As an antidote to the dark subject matter of many of the dramas I am very fond of the Danish 'Seaside Hotel'. A superb French series I saw recently was 'Sambre' which is actually on the BBC iPlayer. A French dramatised true story of how a serial rapist evaded capture fo 40 years.

French stuff... I very much enjoyed Spiral. A little while ago I was chatting to a French woman who is also a fan of the series. I said that it painted a bad picture of the Paris police. She said 'they're worse than that in real life'. That's worrying. :)

Bergman Greenstreet I’ve watched a couple of series of Seaside Hotel, like you to escape the grimness of most Sandi/Nordic drama, but I have more series of it to watch.

Excellent, thanks for bringing this here.  I loved the Danish "Those Who Kill" series and quite a few other German, French and Polish thrillers on the BBC.

GDSandy Photography have you seen the latest “Those Who Kill”? It’s subtitled “Justice”. It’s currently on Prime or weekly on BBC4. It’s excellent.
