New album by Michael Kiwanuka is awesome. Fontaines DC's 2024 album is pretty good as well; been voted one of the best this year.

Taj Mahal live - Statesboro Blues.
Just my cup of tea!
I was a huge fan of that guy, and I was lucky enough to see him twice in a week - once at Essen in Germany and the following weekend at The Roundhouse in London.

I haven't seen him live, first encountered him when I bought the Leadbelly tribute album , I think released around 1988, with Springsteen U2 and others performing songs, more recently watched him with Ry Cooder playing guitar and Taj Mahal playing harmonica and singing.
Big fan of blues music and guitar playing, and definitely Taj Mahal the musician.

Over on that there BBC Radio 4 Extra, I am listening to 'McLevy'. A police inspector, working the mean street of Victorian Edinburgh and showing his day to day interaction to the villains of his patch, which is Leith. Brian Cox plays the lead part.
