Tonight, the Cult and Sisters of Mercy. Tomorrow I think I'll revisit the Nephilim.

Lionel Richie love songs. I have never liked Lionel. So I’m listening as I’m down and need to dive deeper. Weird, but it’s working

I got dragged to see Lionel Ritchie on his Dancing on the Ceiling tour. Amazing what you'll do for love!

It's another 'George Michael whilst retouching' day today - bring on the power anthems!

Dire Straits, Tunnel Of Love. It's not playing, just going around in my head and has been since Friday.

I have had The Bad Plus's amazing, gorgeous, sophisticated cover of Aphex Twin's "Flim" stuck in my head for about a fortnight. It's a lovely earworm.

It got back in my head again when someone ran up the stairs at Marylebone Station tube in front of me and their feet tapped out a key bit of the rhythm. Weirdly this is almost always the way earworms get me. If I hear the song it'll loop for half an hour; if it latches onto some sort of whimsical observation it's there for weeks.

Currently listening to The Black Parade, by My Chemical Romance, and have been for a couple of days now. There is no doubt in my mind that this is entirely due to the influence of Ruby Lorcan
