Paddy recently had a thread for locations in England and Wales.  Anybody know of locations in Scotland with above water shipwrecks usable for photoshoots?

Yes - Diabaig, Loch Torridon - https://flic.kr/p/CdguDU

There's a bigger wreck in Loch Carron, near Strome Castle, but not sure how accessible.

I don't know much about it, may take a look myself sometime.

Some very well photographed ones at Salen on Mull. There's also a fairly recently beached fishing boat near Corpach

Am I correct that this is not for shipwrecks so much as ships of historic interest that are still afloat?

National Historic Ships UK and the Protection of Wrecks

Whilst historic wrecks do not fall under the remit of NHS UK, there are strong links and relationships with vessels which come within this definition. NHS UK will therefore work closely with the UK bodies which carry this remit namely: English Heritage for England; the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales and Cadw for Wales; the Northern Ireland Environment Agency; and Historic Scotland.

This might be too much of a wreck, but it is a very atmospheric area. It is near Findhorn on the Moray coast. The tide does cover the wreck completely so timing is crucial.

There's something similar at Longniddry to the east of Edinburgh. Some pics here
