Models who can show two sides

IME as a retired acrobat and occasional show director as well as a photographer, modelling has more in common with physical theatre (or ‘clowning’ in its technical sense) than acting.

Not all actors make great models, and not all great models can act.

Like physical theatre, modelling is about digging deep and expressing something internal rather than a finely honed presentation technique.

There’s a huge overlap, obviously. And I don’t want to denigrate acting - sorry if I lack the vocabulary to explain the subtle differences.

Hannah-Louise is great at this as well, but she's got an acting background (including music videos.)

I love models that can show great range of emotions, its what makes them stand out from the crowd.

Mel4nie is a great example and having worked with her a lot I know I can ask her to give me emotions I need for a shot.

Holly Alexander it's good to highlight models or photographers or any creatives that are doing something that we may enjoy or may be different from usual. It's part of what making photography or art is about.
