We should be helping each other, not hurting each other

I didn't know anything about hobbyist modelling when I joined and learnt so much from the groups, some people are a little bit passionate and single minded then again so am I, but I think they are entitled to an opinion, so they shouldn't mind if I have one too.
For me there is far too much nudity on PP and that must be off putting to a number of photographers and models who don't want to be associated with that kind of thing, so they either put up with it or leave, everyone is free to choose!
I did once ask for a SFW version of PP purely for those wishing to keep themselves away from NSFW, but I was slaughtered in the comments, lol.
but there is a safe version, just don't tick NSFW. By default it is SFW. From that perspective I think PP gets a bad rap, people just can't help themselves, they tick NSFW and then goeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww nakeed laydeez :)
you must have read the post lol, exactly what everyone said.
You have to wonder why nude modelling isn't cheaper, after all, no clothes to buy, the model rocks up in his/her birthday suit, as long as models price match fully clothed with fully nude, someone will want to get value for money.
I think photographers should have to do 10 nude shoots as the model before they are let loose :-)

Michael_990 But your critique has no relevance to the topic being discussed.

Allesandro B it's useful for Photographers. Models can sometimes be told to go on to the Model chat if we get involved in Photographers chats.

If you can see it, then you can take part in that conversation, like I just did here—erm, sorry, lol.

MaristarOxley "What we can do is encourage models to be interested. It benefits them if there's discourse that makes them feel comfortable. Ok, so everyone on here are adults and should be tough enough to take swipes and criticism, but it's so easy to let things slip because that's just how it is on here ( and other platforms)."
This is dependant on what criticism is. I read this place more often than I post and I often see valid criticism about certain aspects from photographers dismissed as moaning while sometimes harshness from deemed as absolutely fine.
Depends on where the line is drawn and it is different for everyone.
But you say encourage them to be interested...yet earlier you remarked they were already interested? I'm can I get clarity on that?
But also. Are models seriously interested in using groups to improve collaborations/tfp or is this more an individual wish for yourself?

Michael_990 I wasn't aware I asked for a critique on my modelling.
You stated "That's fine, but it soon left me not finding photographers doing a more commercial fashion or editorial style."
And I pointed towards a possible move which could help getting more of what you want.
I have shot Burberry, Jet Set, Hilfiger, Joop!, Windsor and many others.
Smiles, emotions, lifestyle is key. Post pictures with a smile, pictures with emotions
if you want fashion/lifestyle jobs, for f*cks sake! But as I said - no good intention goes unpunished here.
And en passant one easily understands why interactions with models go south so often.
You propose something helpful and all that is understood is critique.Sigh.
In another thread the question is asked why people unfollow others.
This would be a reason to unfollow you, and if it wasn't me, reading
this your response to another photographer would equally well make
sure I would never want to work with you.
Attempting to help, nobody wants that abrasive response.
If you posted a question about a style of photography—say, fashion—in a general chat or a forum-related topic, you wouldn’t be pleased if people started critiquing your photography work instead. So, please don’t use this as a reason to suggest models avoid the forums. This is the OP’s post, and you’ve joined the conversation. Let’s keep it civil and on topic—it’s not that difficult. nobofy is picking on you, just asking you stick to the ops post thats all.

MaristarOxley just to add to my question/point. What benefits come from a photographer like myself trying to get a model (who's largely looking for payment if we consider what you said earlier) to jump on the groups to enhance TFP/collaboration?
Gothic Image said, 1729858725
A reminder of the OP's original question, for those who have forgotten: I genuinely would love to hear what we as a group could try to do to make collaborations, connections better.

Photorunner I understand what you say, re it being a members only club. That's one reason why I would love it to become less so.

tandi The only thing with separation of SFW and NSFW is that many models and photographers do both. I guess they could have two accounts to filter their work.
