They can still seek paid work but it via Direct messaging rather than use of the casting call system.

I think that would be a very bad change.
As a photographer, I want to be able to find models, including models that charge.

That's in the general area of combinatorial explosions and why a common protocol* with many users is better than many pairs of bilateral protocols.

I would happily pay for membership if I had other payment options other than just online ones, I have been a victim of fraud in the past and do not trust or do online payments.
I am so sick of judgemental people calling those with free accounts cheap. I did a support ticket to ask if I could pay via cheque or bank transfer and was told I couldn't. I also tried doing an offer where I discount my rates in exchange for the membership (with the £36 fee and 25% off my rates been discounted) but I just kept getting messed about.
I am a paid member on others sites as they allowed me to make alternative payments, I feel I have done everything I can to buy a membership.
Don't get me wrong I am still getting some work through this site, but I got a lot more when I could do castings. £36 for a year is a complete bargain and worth every penny, but not enough for me to risk paying via methods that I don't feel safe using.
