For those who don't know me, my name is Penelope, and I manage content for The Purple Blog :) I LOVE creating gorgeous photo collections for our blog using the beautiful images produced by each of you incredible creatives in the PurplePort community. These collections always get me feeling so inspired!
How to get your images featured on The Purple Blog
I am constantly looking for fresh ideas for the blog (as well as for our social media platforms). To help me in my never-ending pursuit of new content, I use a tool on PurplePort called image collections to create boards of photos (a bit like Pinterest). This means that - even if your images are genuinely out-of-this-world AMAZING - if you haven't allowed your images to be collected, they won't appear in photo collections on the blog (nor on our social media platforms either) :(
Here's a quick reminder of what to do if you'd like your images featured on the blog:
- Allow your images to be collected (untick Prevent others from collecting your images on your General Site Settings page)
- Make your image visible to everyone (click Edit on your image and untick members only)
- Set your portfolio to be visible to everyone (untick Hide your profile from non-members on your General Site Settings page)
As a bonus, add keyword tags to your images so I can easily find them when I use the image search tool on PurplePort (which I use ALL of the time) to search for images using keyword tags.
Show me your favourite festive images!
As I write this, we are on the edge of November and nearing December, which marks the beginning of my annual quest for the best CHRISTMAS and FESTIVE-themed images on PurplePort! Check out our wonderfully festive previous Christmas collections here.
I want to know what your favourite images of this style are. Show me the best images on PurplePort (either your images or another member's) that you think perfectly capture this merry time of year. Think of things like Santa hats, reindeer, jumpers, open fires, baubles, fairy lights, tinsel, Christmas trees, snow, etc.
To share these images with me, you can add an image to this post by either:
- Pasting the URL to the PurplePort web page of the image in your reply
OR - Using these instructions to add the image to your reply (make sure you include the URL so I can visit the PurplePort web page of the image myself!)
