When you put a casting up or an event up who exactly sees this at the moment?
Is it just your followers?
If so is there a feature that could be added to get castings and events more widely seen by the PP community
My thinking behind this is that we have more remote shoots now so the casting for these should have no boundaries in terms of distance.
Could this be a separate type of casting or event?

I'm pretty sure it all depends on what the person looking at castings settings are.
If you look at the castings and events pages you will see you can select radius and more info - so it's just up to whatever people set theirs to.
I have my castings to show me absolutely EVERYTHING with the largest radius possible, because otherwise I miss loads.

Yeah totally agree Holly
Just think a much wider reach would be much better as we aren't limited to travelling to a venue to shoot now

For example, my castings search is set to anything within 50 miles of where I live. I do recall mention of a change similar to what you describe being banded around a while ago - when remote shooting took off due to lock downs etc...
May be worth a quick search in the suggestions forum?

yeah maybe even if we had a purely nationwide casting or events tab for people that wanted to see that and others could stick to the existing tab

Someone based in Manchester may be willing to travel up to 200 miles for a shoot, so they'll set their search radius to 200 miles and see casting calls based in Bristol. Meanwhile, another person in Manchester may only be willing to travel up to 50 miles and would not see those casting calls in Bristol.

Someone based in Manchester may be willing to travel up to 200 miles for a shoot, so they'll set their search radius to 200 miles and see casting calls based in Bristol. Meanwhile, another person in Manchester may only be willing to travel up to 50 miles and would not see those casting calls in Bristol.
But with remote castings which run alongside a studio day is there a setting for tagging as a remote option

I think the difference between event and castings needs to be needs to be made clearer because I'm seeing a lot of events being posted as castings (and I'm generally not interested in them)

I remember Russ saying, many years ago, that he was going to review the whole castings/events system to bring them closer together, possibly as far as combining them. I don't believe that got as far as anything that we ever saw, though.

There's no way to tag a remote casting or event at the moment, but we want to look at ways to improve the filters for Castings, which I hope will benefit those who want to find remote shoots (as well as those who prefer to filter these shoots out).
I wish I could give you more information than this! It's certainly something that we are thinking about and on our list of things :)
Anyone who follows you, for that, will be shown it.
Anyone whose radius includes you will be shown it, I think. There might be a way to not be shown it, which is just life.
Anyone who searches with suitable parameters will be shown it.
Anyone who looks at your page, and follows the castings link, will be shown it.
I think that's the whole set?
It occurs to me that people might like a larger radius or even a list by regions for studio events and castings than for individuals?
