FINALLY got back to the beautiful Boardroom for a tutorial session yesterday and as usual, everything was spot on.

The building itself is a photographers dream with high ceilings, soft light and wide open spaces and Phil is a total legend, making sure we were supplied with refreshments and offering assistance with the transportation of Larry ladder and lesser Larry ladder as well as just being lovely as always.

I love working here as it always has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and really gives you the space to spread your creative wings!

Myself and Marie Jean Taylor held an event of Perfectly Pastel here on Friday and I am so pleased that we booked The Boardroom to arrange this event. Phil was on hand throughout the day and created lighting for the different set ups. He also took some shots during the event and we can't wait to see them.

The studio is spacious, beautiful and is a great space to hold an event, have studio days and also just to shoot for the day. Awesome lights as well as the stunning natural light that just fills the whole room. Phil and Rebecca are such lovely people and are always there to offer advice and lovely refreshments especially the camomile tea and Strawberries ;) Phil even popped out for us to grab us some lunch which was really appreciated! Highly recommended from me, thanks guys!

Managed to shoot at the boardroom yesterday with Rapture Photography. After seeing photos of the beautiful windows here I knew i wanted to work there.

Phil is just, lovely! from bringing me an umbrella (which my curly hair appreciated!) to great coffee and allowing me to wear the most beautiful gown ive ever had the pleasure of wearing ... dressing gown that is. its so fluffy!!

anywho, Phil is awesome, the studio has definitely given me design ideas for a future home (she says as a millenial with no hope of owning a home) and i cant wait to come back again and again!

I got to try out The Boardroom studio today, after wanting to shoot there a long time! I'll certainly be back soon. Very happy it's less than an hour's drive from me :-)

Phil was really friendly and helpful, we tried out some beautiful movement images and had lots of chat about.

Then I got a few hours to play with self portraits and it was really productive! The light is lovely and the windows, panels and floorboards make for so many possibilities.

I was also really impressed by the range of backdrops available in great colours and some gorgeous textured ones too... they will be fab to use with the natural light. There is also great lighting equipment, flag boards and other very handy accessories there to make the most of your shooting!!

I'm excited to explore this place more! Certainly recommended.

I met Phil when I visited The Boardroom to meet Arabella and shoot her cat woman event. As a novice to studio lighting and set up I was fascinated with how the look and mood was achieved and I found Phil to be extremely calm, patient, helpful and had the time to talk me through what he was doing and offer advice on how best to shoot. The experience was educational and whilst the studio room was in itself small and wonderful, the service and support was bigger and equally great . Thank you for a super night out at The Boardroom.

The Boardroom is an amazing studio run by a professional team that are welcoming, easy-going and dedicated to supporting the photographer/model. My highest recommendation for photographers who love natural light or those using strobes that need a large functional room that can be turned into a creative enterprise. I had the pleasure of working with Phil at The Boardroom studio and what fantastic afternoon it was. We created some great portraits making use of the natural light and gels. I would very much recommend both Phil and the studio. the studio is a big white room with large windows which allows plenty of natural light. a great range of equipment too! I shall certainly be returning.

I had a great shoot here today, fantastic space filled with great natural light but also all of the resources and facilities you need to control or add artificial light. The owner is great, very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend checking it out and booking in!

I think putting all the wonderful things about Phil into one little text box is going to be damn near impossible!

I met Phil when I was only a lil newbie into the modelling world. Since then, I think I’ve basically called the boardroom my second home.

Phil is an absolutely exceptional photographer, once he has something in mind he aces it, don’t ask me how- I think the only possible answer must be magic.

He has such an incredible creative mind, always thinking of something new to do behind the lens. Not to mention the ability to get such raw, beautiful images of people- (he actually can get a shot of me smiling!!)

Phil’s the photographer I’ve worked with most over the time I’ve been modelling & there’s good reason for it!

I feel so comfortable shooting with Phil, and not only that but I genuinely see him as one of my really good pals! Whenever I’m around the area i always love to pop in and say ello, because if I haven’t mentioned already, he’s WONDERFUL!

Phil’s highly respected by pretty much everyone, not only for his beautiful studio but because he’s genuinely the nicest person ever and so easy to work with.

On top of my experiences, I booked Phil for my sisters 21st birthday present where she had her own shoot. Phil really brought her out of her shell and made her feel so confident and beautiful.

If you haven’t worked with Phil, or been to the boardroom- get ya booty down there!

I would recommend all day every day, to everyone!

Well it's been forever since I left a reference & I wanted to keep somewhere between spamming the references and remaining cool and not writing too many!... So hopefully the latter!...

Anyway I have shot at PHLY a large amount of times now and can honestly say it's one of my favourite studios in the UK... For many reasons all of which are just as important!...

Firstly and most importantly! Tea!... You get as much tea as you want! And Phil & Becca are both happy to deal with my own tea bags and various weird milks and act like it's totally cool whilst making them!... So that's one I'm grateful for!...

Secondly! If you're a model that whole place is comfortable, there's no toilet in a cold dark basement or half way down the road! It has mirrors that allow you to see your whole body and not just half of your face...

It's as warm or cold as you need it to be! And if you are chilly the dressing gown is not only squishy but also turns you into a bear!! So always a plus!... Plenty of places to get changed and if you have a problem Phil & Becca are on top form to sort anything!

Thirdly, and hopefully lastly because this is hefty already, the shoot space itself!... It's just beautiful!... The natural light is beautifully soft but just bounces around and creates the most beautiful wrap around light! Soft, floaty and high end. But also you can turn it into a black space and shoot with studio lighting etc.... You can create room sets or have nothing but the bare bones of the studio and the model. Anything you want will always look amazing and high end.

Ok one more thing to mention then I promise this will all be over are Becca & Phil... Becca is lovely, chatty and friendly. She makes the atmosphere just warm and relaxed! And she's always happy to help out where she can! And then Phil is fabulous!... Again just creates a really nice working environment, where models feel safe and photographers feel looked after and inspired!... He's happy to help and happy to stay away!

Overall! Which I probably should of just written instead of this long winded stuff.

The space is amazing! You could shoot a model in bin bags and it would still look amazing!... You get looked after, treated like an actual human and plenty of giggles are always about!... And Phil & Becca are two of the most genuinely lovely & talented people you could be around in this industry!

I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at the Board Room a couple of times now and have only just got around to leaving a reference.

I simply love this space!

The owner Phil is a fantastic host, so friendly, down to earth, happy to help out with lighting set ups if needed, you’re always warmly welcomed with his epic coffee making and tea brewing skills, if you want a hand with anything he’s never far away but is happy to just leave you to it.

Great reception area for you to leave all your valuables and know they’ll be safe, along with make up area if you need to get ready or have a make up artist.

The studio is so beautiful with its original wooden floors, and gorgeous tall windows, the light is just breath taking at all times of the day, and Phil has quite the collection of props that suit the environment right down to the last detail including a chesterfield chair, full length ornate mirror, vintage trunks, and so much more!

So I just can’t wait to be back for my studio day in October but I’m sure I’ll be back before then!

Easily and highly recommended, thank you for a great experience :D

My first visit to this unique studio to work with Em Theresa on her sold out model day. I was made extremely welcome on arrival and we were offered refreshments throughout. The studio area itself is full of natural light reflecting off the white walls, great period features including large windows, white boarded walls and fireplace, plus props such as a chesterfield chair and large wooden chest. It is equipped with an array of studio lighting but on this occasion we chose to just use natural light. I certainly thoroughly enjoyed my shoot and highly recommend this venue. Thank you.

I visited The Boardroom for the first time recently, having booked it to hold a model day. The space is stunning, the natural light from large windows was gorgeous and the place spotless and warm. The props available to use are great too, really interesting and often vintage/antique. I was well looked after and would absolutely both recommend and return :)

I had a lovely morning today at The Boardroom Studios with PHLY, Sheff, Cariad, Daryl and PHLYs colleagues. The studio is beautiful, spacious and well equipped and everyone was wonderfully welcoming. I was only there to tag along and get in the way but I had a great time and will be returning for some of my own shoots in the near future.

My first visit to this studio and it impressed me. There was a warm welcome and an excellent cup of tea upon arrival and the studio was clean, warm and spacious and a lovely clutter free space in which to work. Beautiful natural light flooded through the very elegant high windows and there was the option to use this and/or studio flash. There were many possibilities to create different types of images within the studio and I would recommend it to other creatives. Thank you to the studio staff for making my first visit so enjoyable.
