References for Millwood Photography Studio

Had my first shoot at Millwood Studio in Stalybridge today.

The studio offers a variety of props and multiple sets available for different shoots.

Jamie and Paul had the studio ready to be used, different sets of lights for different purposes.

The studio is located a short walking distance from Stalybridge Train station making commuting fairly easy not only by train but by car as well with an ample parking space.

I recommend this studio to any photographers agencies or models looking to achieve great results.

This was my first visit to Millwood. Despite it's being reasonably convenient for me to get to from work, somehow, I'd not managed to get to a place that from all the pictures of it, seemed somewhere between excellent and perfect.

So the first surprise on walking in, is the sheer depth from one end to the other. I could finally use my 85mm lens to capture more than just the smile. The range of props, facilities and lighting was also enough to make me squirm with excitement.

The shoot was on the verge of being cancelled on account of the model being double booked, but Katie Royle stepped in. Lovely, charming and helpful, she turned out to be quite photogenic as well :)

A terrific evening, let down only by time flying by too quickly. To quote Douglas MacArthur, I shall return.

Used the studio to shoot with Katie, The location is great with plenty of parking and not that far away from local train station. The studio itself is great!!! It's spacious with lots of gear and props available to use and plenty of different setup rooms. Jamie is on hand to help when needed (cool guy indeed) will be doing plenty more shoots here soon. I would definitely recommend this place to any photographer and model.

I attended a studio evening at Millwood and I had a great evening.

The studio is brilliant and has scenes set up that you can use plus a nice large space to create your own ideas. The studio also has many props and lighting that is available to use.

This was my first time visiting the studio and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I know I will be back again in the future.

I recently worked on a group project modelling at Millwood photography studio with @BrendanDevine , @RunningWithScissors, @MimisitaShka and Eva Hulme.

This is the 2nd time I have had the pleasure of working at the studio and I am constantly impressed with the facilities and staff who are always chatty and considerate. Dressing room and bathroom was clean and organised and all set ups and equipment were versatile and of good quality.

This really is a must use space if shooting in Manchester and I hope to return there again soon!

I recently participated on a group event at Millwood studios and it was a really enjoyable experience. The studio was well set up with a wide range of different areas to use and excellent lighting equipment. Jamie was a great host and the models were all brilliant to work with especially Katie who worked tirelessly to make sure the event ran smoothly. I highly recommend the studio and would have no hesitation in using it again in the future.

Visited Millwood a couple of days ago, an excellent studio able to cater for all your needs. Offering space galore including a large infinity cove, great natural light, numerous flash heads and modifiers and props a plenty.

Jamie is the perfect host always on hand to offer help and advice and makes a mean cup of tea. I will definitely revisit in the near future. Highly recommended.

A big thank you to the team at Millwood studio today. Could not have got the shoot as good as it was today without there help. I had a lot of stuff to set up and the lads went beyond there means to help carry it all in and out. They set up all the lighting and smoke machines. The parking was easy accessable and there was a great selection of props and setting. You really could not go wrong with this studio.

Beging to loose count of how many times I have now worked at this very versatile & ever evolving studio. The most recent couple of times have been for mini group flour shoots. Paul & Jamie may not want the studio recomending for those due to the mess & subsequent massive clean up needed but they are rather good at it.

A wonderful new addition is also a shower / wet area which is brilliant & compliments the studio very well. Jamie, Paul & Jordan are all very helpful & 1 of them will always be there if needed. I have mainly used the studio on mini group sesion for which Jamie organises far too many excellent ones that I keep finding far too difficult to say no to.

In summary an excellent studio with lots & lots of different sets & very helpful owners - highly recommended. 😊

This was my third studio venue that I have shot in and it is the best of the lot bar none. The sets are great and the studio is well equipped with help on hand should you need it. The layout of the place is great as well and there are areas to be able to take a time out without getting in the way of people still shooting.

So I attended a group shoot held by Jamie on Tuesday. The studio is filled with fantastic sets and props. It has a really good creative positive atmosphere too!

I really enjoyed the shoot. I got some great images of all 3 of the lovely models. Really great set of photographers. All in all great evening and great studio with helpful owners! Looking forward to coming back again soon :)

Had my 1st shoot at Millwood yesterday and was highly impressed with the setup there. Loads of space and many different shooting options. Loads of props, plenty of lighting and modifiers as well as natural lighting - whats not to like. Loads of assistance to hand if you want it - highly recommended.

Great atmosphere at Millwood with the ever helpful Jamie and Jordan always on hand to assist when required.

Have been several times and never failed to have an enjoyable shoot in a relaxed environment with plenty of laughs and banter.

Its big and spacious with plenty of areas for natural light work, they have several sets including a white room and a wet room all with an endless supply of props.

Models are well looked after with a large clean changing and makeup area which includes a well stocked wardrobe.

Would recommend the Tuesday night portfolio building shoots for budding models, great way to learn the craft from experienced photographers and you will also come away with lots of images to help boost your career.

Go visit Millwood.

I had my first shoot at Millwood on Saturday after it was recommended to me by my model. The team there are very friendly and helpful and make a great coffee lol

Unfortunately it was a grey January day, so the natural light wasn't at it's best from all the windows. There are loads of sets and props that can all be easily moved, even up and down the stairs.

I will definitely use the studio again next time i'm up Manchester way.

Wow, what can I say about Millwood studio's that hasnt been said before!

It is without a doubt one of the biggest and best I have ever had the pleasure of modelling in.

The photo's on here dont do it enough justice to just how much choice in sets and prop's there realy are and how versatile the layout is!

The model's changing room /makeup studio is fabulous , giving you complete privacy and even has its own private bathroom.

As for the staff, you couldnt ask for two funnier, skillful and friendly guys who made me feel right at home. I couldnt ask for much more from them and hope to shoot there again kn the future and see what's new they will have to offer !

I had the pleasure of shooting at Millwood today and I have to say it is one the best studios I have worked in.

From the minute I arrived the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.

There is a nice big private changing area and toilet along with a huge selection of wardrobe and props.

I had a look around whilst there and the equipment, sets and rooms are fab, the studio is well kept and clean and there is so much that can be shot here.

The studio owners were extremely helpful and looked after us all.

The main thing I noticed was the nice temperature to work in. After travelling to the shoot in the rain with gale force winds, it was the best feeling to walk into a lovely warm studio and to be offered a nice hot drink on arrival. The under heated flooring is a bonus

I will hopefully be back to Millwood for a studio day when I am back down touring and I very much look forward to being back

Attended a photoshoot at millwood studios ,

Great place and set uo, plenty of space, variety of backgrounds and props.

But most of all jamie was very helpful, making sure that we all got plenty of time with the models,

.a fantastic experience for everyone involved, would definitely go again.
