Spring at Studland 9th - 11th May

Hello all, just to say am stopping off to have dinner with a friend in Exeter on the way, so probably wont arrive before 9pm - I am on my way through :)

So looking forward to this! 

I have been booked from 9-13:00 on Sunday so am free for bookings after that time if anyone is still stuck for models :)

I am still available to shoot from 9am to 2pm on Sunday if anyone wants to shoot :)

You have two posts saying that you really want to go and book Victoria, have you been blocked from going? I missed that post. Why not just ask John if you can book a place?

 

I would have been there like a shot if I had known about this early enough, but by the time I found out the dates it was too late I already had other commitments. Hopefully someone will be kind enough to mail me and let me know right away when the next one is

Special thanks to Gary aka John von Geezer for organising this special event and for taking time out today to assist me today with shooting Bexie and Helen. The weather turned out to be bright and sunny all day if not a tad windy. It looked like all the photographers and models were having a great time and it was nice to catch up with so many people I have met on shoots before. I look forward to see the results. :)

We just got back. What a fabulous weekend! I particularly enjoyed the band that John lines up for the Saturday evening entertainment (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awmMoiCOw0g). The weather was amazing, far better than we deserved, all in all it was a great time. 

So, many thanks to JVG for another great Studland, and to Chatterley and Helen Stephens for modelling wonderfully for me.

Thankyou to everyone who came along to what has to be one of the best Stulands yet. The dreadful forecasts were proved totally wrong as, once again, we enjoyed pretty much constant sunshine, even if it was a little breezy at times!

A last minute cancellation on Friday left me with no model at all for Saturday, a casting did not get a single response! It could have looked a little bleak for me, but 1st Golding and Pixie threw me a lifeline and then Tarmoo very kindly asked I I would like to work with his fabulous models - Helen Stephens and Bexie Oum, even allowing me a couple of hours with Bexie. The kindness and generosity of Studlanders never ceases to amaze me, but I am particularly grateful to Tarmoo, an extraordinarily generous chap :)

Stu Freeman stepped up to be the most splendid wing man, after attending so many other Studlands he knows the routines inside out and took half my little jobs over without being asked and made my life a lot easier. Thanks Stu - you were a real star!

It was also great to see Ken on Saturday who popped in for a bit of a social, he helped full in the small gaps between shooting other peoples models.

I was kept up very late on both nights. Philosophising over takeaway and beer with NickG was delightful on the Friday, the exceptional Hillbilly Punk band we danced so vigorously to on Saturday and all the excitement that followed meant that I had about 3 hours sleep a night.

All the models I worked with - Chiara, Chris Cooke, Helen Stephens, Bexie Oum, Pixie, Josie Wood, Elesha Eden and HollyJ were simply superb. Enormous fun, didn't stop laughing! What a line-up! All excellent at their jobs and a delight to shoot.

So - despite the disaster of the last minute cancellation I have cards full of pretty pictures, some great memories and a few more friends. Thankyou all so very much for making Studland one of my greatest joys :)

It was my first time at Studland and what can I say except it was absoublty brilliannt. Stu Freeman was an absolute saint picking me up from Salisbury and driving me all the way to Studland, making sure I was ok the entire time I was there oh and of course buying me food and yummy magnum lollies :) He was a joy to model for too :)

On Saturday I got to shoot all day with Jake41 and I think we got some stunning shots (even some dainty girly ones), in the evening fun was had on the beach as well as wine. Us girls (Me, Marmalade, Miss Pixie) all got into the sea and got some shots took of his by Golding :) Just for a fun mess around we got some great shots :)

Then on the last day I crashed TWPhoto and Marmalade on their shoot together. Me, Marmalade and Tym worked so well together and you lot are definatly going to enjoy the photos we did that is for sure :)
