Hi, 

I'm a fine art photographer based near to Zürich, Switzerland. I love visualising stories with open endings (requiring observer’s complicity) on societal and psychological topics. My aim is to pull viewers into the subject’s world and give them the time and space to reflect on their own thoughts, emotions and experiences. Mostly I'm working on larger fine art photography projects that take years to complete. To "unwind", I shoot painting like art nudes and portraits with a fashion flare. And now about managing expectations (or letting you know what you are in for).

I love photography, because it's a safe space for exploring ideas and to mess up from time to time. And to keep it this way, here are a few things I keep to: 

Some ground rules, when working with me: 

• Safety first. If anyone on the team feels frightened or unsafe, we'll break it off. I care more about you than about a picture. 
• Feel free to say NO. I'll understand. But no drama on my shoots please. 
• I don't read minds, so ask for what you need (e.g. a break, a coffee, food, 10 minutes to sit down/stand up/strech, to go somewhere warm, whatever). If it's in my powers, it will be given in the shortest possible time. 
• I never start shooting without having a coffee or tea with you first. 

What I expect from anyone I'm working with: 

• A lovely, relaxed attitude. 
• To be 100% present and give your best effort. It's enough for me. What doesn't work, it doesn't. 
• To bring your own interpretation of what we've discussed. 

And on a more "management level": 

• No substance or any other kind of abuse (not even the days before the shoot) and good hygiene. 
• Punctuality. (I'm very Swiss in this regard: being more than 3-5 minutes late without a notice in my book is straight up rude. Please consider that when I'm abroad I don't have internet connection.) 
• Timely notifications. Sickness and alikes can prevent a shoot, which I completely understand. However, I need to know if you are not available. In such cases please reach out to your contacts for a replacement and send some recommendations. Mostly I organize a lot for a shoot. Please respect my time and effort. 
• Clear communication. If we have different views, understandings and expectations, it should come out long before we shoot. I'm sure we can find a solution. 
• If we are working together for a longer time, I will ask for your dietary preferences, because I want to take care of you. 

Info about remuneration and other stuff: 

• I always work with a contract, no exceptions. If I ask for various selling and publishing rights of the images, I find it fair to pay you. If I should shoot to enrich your portfolio, I will ask for a payment. If we find a solution in between, I'm happy with that too. It just needs to be clear and in writing before the shoot.  
• We'll shoot what we've discussed, but I'm up for deviations as long as everyone feels safe and OK with it. 
• I don't work on an hourly basis and less than half a day (4 hrs) is not in my calendar. 
• I don't do impromptu shoots. In my book, planning is key. 
• Pro-tip: If you are interested in working with me, please give me shout at least 3-5 months ahead of your possible tour. I don't need your exact dates, but I need to know of the possibility that you might be in my area. This way I can look for something already in the pipeline which might match your strengths/features.
