I had my first shoot with Steve as part of York Photography Network evening.

He made me feel very comfortable in the studio. And we also got to shoot together and got some cracking shots!

I worked with Steve, Pete and a group of amazing photographers during a light art workshop on the Northumberland coastline.

What a friendly amazing group of people! Everyone was so kind and polite and sounded like they were having a great time sharing the same passion.

It was a wonderful experience to meet the whole team of photographers who made the shoot so much fun.

Steve went above and beyond to keep me as warm as possible between shots which was a lovely touch.

Pete was knowledgeable about timing, he came prepared with everything needed to ensure he got some amazing shots of me.

Overall I had a great time shooting with this group. Would love to meet them again and do more work within York!

Steve is a great friend to me and when I said I fancied dipping my toe back into shooting with photographers, he was easily the ideal person for that. We've had a shoot at mine, messing with some low lights and also a shoot out at a local woods in recent weeks.

I love shooting with Steve because I'm a very anxious person and have alot of health problems but I know that nothing really fazes him, he's very relaxed all the time, easy going and it makes it fun rather than a chore. He's extremely polite and respectful and so easy to get on with. No awkward silences ever here!

I also love his use of light and the way he captures a shot. Our styles very much compliment each other.

I'm heavily into model safety and I can honestly say that Steve is one of my most trusted photographers to shoot with. I'd have zero hesitation in recommending him to anyone and I would say that he is a very good and safe choice for new models to shoot with as he can greatly enhance a port whilst making you feel very safe and secure and happy on a shoot.

I'm hoping to shoot lots more with him over the summer if he can spare the time! 😜 lol

Had a collaborative shoot with Steve today, he makes you feel very welcome, is open and easy to get along with all whilst remaining professional. He had some brilliant ideas and so we created some amazing shots, I cant recommend him enough!

I had a casual shoot with Steve and Cathie in the afternoon after the latter (not on PP, but search 'The Pink Portrait Company') put out a casting. The shoot was initially estimated to be 1-1.5 hours long but we ended up running for about 2.5 hours altogether that saw beautiful and exciting forms of portraiture brought forth, including a gratefully received generous offer of shots of my own choice, which were natural portfolio headshots in my case.

Steve is very friendly and took time to explain to me the poses as well as the purposes of the many different lights being used in the process. He has a natural feel for producing atmospheric and characteristic shots of the subject, and is very knowledgable about using the light and shadow to upmost advantage. I highly recommend working with him, and Cathie as well - both are lovely individuals who care a lot about their work and I have no qualms about collaborating with them again. Thank you muchly!
