Worksop Photographic Studio (WPS)

Worksop Photographic Studio (WPS) was established in 1986, and we are now one of the longest running Studios in the country. The Studio has been featured in Digital Photo, Practical Photography and Photography Monthly magazines.

Following our tagline, “by Photographers for Photographers”, we have, over the last 30 years, become one of the U.K’s most friendly and cost effective venues for Studio Photography.  

It doesn't matter if you are a Beginner, an Amateur or a Professional Photographer...all are welcome, we just want you to enjoy your experience at WPS. We can give you as much or as little help as you need, also privacy and safety is 100% assured.

WPS is a large Studio with 6 semi-permanent set areas with infinite possibilities. The Studio has a very extensive range of professional lighting, which can be deployed on any of the sets to create virtually any image you have in mind.  We have a wide assortment of plain cloth, paper roll and and scenic backdrops available, that can create a host of different looks for your photographic and modelling projects.  Even more scope can be added to your pictures, with the availability of a large number of props to use on set too! Space is the main thing...room to move and room to create superb pictures.

WPS has its own Model Register with access to local and distant models. Our website has details of all the Models and a guide to their availability and modelling rates. Or, you are always welcome bring your own model along.

There is also an extremely beneficial membership scheme, offering discounted rates of hire for WPS registered models and hiring of the Studio, and no need for deposits when booking. Becoming a Member also gives you access to our facebook & flickr groups where you can catch up with all the latest news at WPS, chat about Photography and showcase your images.

With free parking directly outside the Studio and a good supply of tea and coffee, (and the occasional chocolate biscuit!), we feel that WPS offers not just value for money, but a great photographic experience, a superb, friendly, atmosphere and a hope that you will want to use the Studio again in the future!

WPS goes to great lengths to promote itself as a SAFE and RELIABLE environment for models and photographers to come along and work in. Our passion is Photography...and we want you to be able to create fantastic pictures at a price you can afford in a safe and relaxed environment.

The Studio is available for bookings between the hours of 10am-10pm 7 days a week. Minimum booking time is 2 hours.
