I'm a figurative painter based in a studio in south London, fine art graduate focusing on the figure and portrait I generally paint from life in natural light and have had the opportunity to work with some wonderful models. I had been working primarily in oil on canvas but recently I stopped painting and made a decision to focus on developing my drawing and have abandoned my previous work as I feel it no longer represents me and through drawing I hope to resolve issues in my work and develop a basis in technique as a path to realising the work I aspire to create.

After years of formal study in art school I have come to the conclusion that I have no real training and that I needed to hone my technique so have embarked on a course of study, both self study and private tuition in the atelier drawing system , and will continue to pursue this as I now realise that a foundation in technique is the key to achieving what I wish to realise in my work.
